Argentinian Steak House — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

It could easily be a 5 star experience but I ended up giving a 2 stars tops mainly due to the bad service we received. The starter was very good indeed and basically the best part of the dinner. It took a long time before we get the main dish (around 30 minutes) and I had to get a refill of my drink! My ribeye steak was fine but the side grilled tomato and vegetables were not fresh and were just put to fill the plate. My wife's steak didn't arrive as we had ordered. She ordered it medium but it was rare. When we asked the waitress to change it she didn't accept her mistake and said you ordered it this way! But she offered to put it again on the grill! This didn't help much and the steak was still chewy. When they asked if the food was good I replied it was OK and they were surprised just OK? And yes. At least half of the experience is that you feel welcomed at a restaurant and get what you have ordered and it was not the feeling/experience we had. Furthermore 7% service fee is included in the fee. I don't recommend...

This is our third visit in three years, booked for a 50th celebration which they were notified about. Upon attending they couldn’t find our booking and the staff were extremely unhelpful & rude. We were pushed into a side table and the waiter was unhelpful in explaining the menu.. Ordered chateaubriand with skinny fries and additional side salad. Although the meat arrived and was good, the fries were appalling, you couldn’t even pick them up with a fork !! The salad never arrived at all !! We complained to the staff, the waiter was extremely rude and when pointed out to the head waiter , he wasn’t bothered either ! A huge disappointment to a special birthday celebratory meal.. this used to be a classy restaurant which now shows signs of being an every day steak house with extortionate prices and very very poor staff & service ! Will not be visiting again and would advise...

Kann mich hier den überwiegend "sehr guten" Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Gleich am Anfang empfand ich den Kellner schon als genervt, auf die Frage wieviel Gramm das von mir favorisierte Stück Fleisch in der Auslage "ca." haben könnte.(Es sollte 400Gr. sein) Dann wollten wir einen Blick in die Karte werfen bevor wir uns setzen würden, um uns vorher mal die Preise anzuschauen. War wohl auch schon zuviel. Weil wir aber die guten Bewertung gelesen hatten, wollten wir uns jetzt auch was gutes tun. Habe noch gefragt ob ich auch das 400Gr. Stück gegen Aufpreis bekommen könnte weil in der Karte nur 300Gr. zu finden ist. "Si señor no problema". Meine Frau bestellt churrasco 300Gr. beides sollte nun Garstufe "medio" serviert plus 1xKartoffel und 1x Papa's fritas und das Abendessen wäre perfekt gewesen. Soviel zur Bestellung! Dann kommt das Essen und ich traue meinen Augen nicht. Habe tatsächlich ein Stück Entrécote auf dem Teller, sah aber aus als wäre die Hälfte von den gewünschten und auch extra verlangten 400gr verdunstet. Was eigentlich nicht sein könnte, weil das Fleisch quasi nicht gegart war. Hingegen sah das Churrasco meiner Frau irgendwie nach 400Gr. Aus. Churrasco ebenfalls sehr weit vom gewünschten Garpunkt ebtfernt. Gleich mal nachgefragt und wie soll es anders sein, er war wieder etwas genervt. Nun hatte er mir allerdings gesagt das ich exakt das bekommen habe wie es in der Karte steht. Entgegen dem was ich bestellt hatte. Aber okay, dann ist das jetzt so. Nun zu den Beilagen, die alle extra kosten. Kartoffel mit Creme für Heringssalat oder so ähnlich für 3.00€. Ekelig auf jeden Fall. Papa's fritas sahen aus wie ein Haufen Stroh und waren knochentrocken auch für 3.00€. Auf die bitte etwas ajoli zubekommen, direkt der Hinweis daß dies nicht gratis ist. 2.95€ für 30ml Ajoli. Ich glaube ich mach auch ein Steakhouse auf. Ich möchte hier unbedingt noch erwähnen daß wir absolut keine Spießer sind und in gutes Essen auch gerne mal einen Euro mehr investieren. Wir waren auch von Beginn an freundlich und ich habe mein bestes spanisch ausgepackt. Das für viele unserer canarischen Freunde als gut bewertet wird. Also ich komme hier zum Fazit: Teuer, wenig freundlich, unwillig zuzuhören und leider trotz der grossen Vorfreude aufgrund der Bewertungen als absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Einzig der Geschmack des Fleisches war gut, aber auch wirklich "nur" gut. Ich möchte auch betonen, dass ich daß das meine persönliche Erfahrung war und jeder kann es oder sollte es...
