Bar Comeback! — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

I was wandering around the Cita Center with my husband looking for somewhere to have a couple of cocktails.

After consulting one of the 'gay maps' of Maspalomas, we decided to stop here as the music was good, even though it was empty. We had no idea it was a swingers bar.

The staff both approached us straight away, we thought to welcome us, as though grateful they had customers. How wrong were we to think that.

They told us in no uncertain terms that the place was for couples only and we would have to leave. I told them we were a couple, and they said it was for male and female couples only.

We politely showed our displeasure as we left, unable to fathom how they could turn away paying customers from an empty bar.

Unless you are actually a swinger couple, I would suggest...

Didn't understand this place at all. It puts its self out there as a swingers meeting point, social bar. Yet when we went there and racked up at the bar we were told in no uncertain terms to sit down at a table and be served. How the hell are you meant to meet and socialise with otgers if you have to sit at a socially distanced individual table? Please explain this concept. While we were there a couple of gay men came in and sat down in the outside alleyway area. They were told that they couldn't sit there as it was only for real couples and they would have to sit inside! For once I am with the gays, blatant discrimination.
