Café De Paris — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Well, I just came home with 4 cakes instead of 5 I had bought and paid 22.70 euros for: although I ordered four pieces of two types and one more in english and I don't think I got lost in translation. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but one of us at home ran out of cake. Next time when you buy a package at this place, double check at the store so you don't have any surprises when you get home. Anyway, I returned to cafe, they gave me the missing cake and instead of apologizing, the supervisor seemed quite annoyed even though I bought two more pieces of the same cake, so I left almost 33 euros with them in an hour. Even the girl who had put them in the box had something nasty to say, I'm pretty sure because I saw her smiling contemptuously... Well, to me this is an inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour or maybe it's a matter of local culture coming from simple and blasé people... disappointed. The only good point is that the 'sans rival' cake...

"Cafè de Paris" is a classic but dated old cafeteria. There is no modernity either in furniture or in the offer of pastry products or savory offer. There are also equally classical-realities that have been able to renew themselves and keep up with modern times. The desserts are the traditional German desserts. Large portions. You can find the classic Italian sandwiches that are hard to find in the locality. The staff is polite but not smiling 👎🏻and does not make your coffee break pleasant. Personally I prefer kindness and a family atmosphere. Here, however, there is a strong gap between staff and customers. This is because customers are not young but old. Prices 20% higher than average location. Automatic and non-traditional espresso coffee...

Unfortunately this place is no longer a welcoming cafe to have a bite to eat or a coffee. The people working here are rude and obnoxious. There is also cross contamination of food too which is not good if you have allergies or don't like the other foods that appear to be getting contaminated. I had a strawberry cake contaminated with lemon on one side as the waitress had put my cake with another persons order so she could split them at the till to be quicker, it was also flattened and looked nothing like it did in the display. I told her that I wanted it to be exchanged and she was rude and obnoxious and didn't change it acting like she did not understand what I was saying and the other staff refused to help. Absolutely...
