Toro II — Restaurant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Situated on the almost empty Faro 2 complex overlooking the car park. Not the best view, but a decent enough place to walk to if you're staying close by and don't want to travel into Maspaloma centre. It appears to mainly serve steak (it's called Toro II Steak House), burgers, burrito's, tacos, fajitas, pizzas, nachos and other similar snack type food. We ordered a plate of nachos with cheese, as we only wanted a snack, but we're disappointed, we've had much better elsewhere. They came with some melted cheese ontop with 3 small dishes of, what I presume were; guacamole, cream cheese and a tomato type topping, but unlike the usual salsa we've had everywhere else, this was similar to tomato ketchup with a very mild spice added. One of my main criticism of the dish was that the nachos were going soft, as thought they were old and there wasn't enough toppings. Once you'd eaten the melted cheese ontop you were left with plain nachos and the 3 small accompaniments were not enough. There needs to be more cheese, guacamole, cream cheese and proper salsa. However, saying all that, the service was good, and the waiter helpful. Maybe if you were eating steak, the obvious house special, it would be...

I don’t see how this place has a rating above a 3. We ordered the ribeye steak on the stone grill. This was the toughest and most tasteless steak I’ve had in the past 20 years. Maybe the worst steak at a restaurant in my life. The steak was so tough, their steak knives couldn’t cut it. Had to send it back for the chef to cut it up. The meat ended up tasting like boiled beef. No seasoning. Bland.

I didn’t know you could mess up fries/chips that much, but the oil used made them have a very strange taste.

Do not recommend. Look elsewhere and don’t trust these reviews. Maybe I have higher expectations than those that give this place a good rating.

The ambiance is also not great nor comfortable. They have chairs at their outdoor tables that are too big for the tables. Can’t sit comfortably for your meal. Just all wrong and...

We had been recommended Toro 2 by friends. So myself and partner hadn’t been out much during our stay. We wanted something special so we thought Toro 2. Well If your straight you probably get better service. An older gentleman came and took our order. From the first instance he was off with us. He got our drinks order wrong and because we said something he slammed the drinks in front of us. He was rude to us. So we paid for our drinks and left. I can assure you that there are better places to eat with better service. So I have eaten in many places throughout the world.
