Waiting almost two hours for your pizza and re-ordering your drink 3 times because they forgot it.
La Costa is located at the end of Playa del Ingles and has a beach club look. At first it is a nice place to have something to eat or drink because you have a view of the boulevard and the sea / beach.
We ordered a gin tonic, 2 water and a moscow mule as drinks. The gin and tonic was pretty quick on the table. The water did not come at all and we had to reorder the moscow mule three times before it came. Finally after half an hour it finally arrived.
However, the food was a notch worse. We had to wait more then 1.5 hours for our pizza and after asking 3 times and being told "I'm going to check it" but then helping other people again, I got up and said something about it.
We got the drinks for free (nice) but after almost 2 hours our pizza was finally there.
It was very tasty so that's a plus. We may have been unlucky and this normally never happens but for now I wouldn't...
Read moreWe did order a bottle of Moet & Chandon which was listed on my card at €89. Suddenly they came to take my card and my friend told me that on his card it was stated €110 (it was corrected and overwritten with a white label). I was surprised, asked the barman and he told it's €110 now and showed me some other cards, all corrected the old price with the new one with the white label.
So clearly they realized that my card wasn't corrected yet and took it away as a thief in the night. They lied by telling they are all adapted and didn't know where I saw the €89... We left the bar angry and won't ever come back! This is really disgusting behaviour. Offcourse it's always possible they forgot to adapt the price on my card but if they would have told me about this, maybe I could have understand it and we could discuss about it and make some agreement.
After we had an amazing night in Tipsy Hammock where the bottle Moet was at...
Read moreGreat spot to have a delicious meal and drink after the beach, removed from the busy boardwalk on top of a sunny cliff overlooking the ocean. The staff is friendly and good looking. Didn’t care for the music which was covers of pop songs in a corny beach style — the atmosphere could be elevated if it was more modern/contemporary house (subjective opinion). But, we’ll be returning to try the pizza and shisha.
Update: came here for dinner and it was better than the first time. Pizza and pasta are delicious – proper pizza dough and pasta flavours are on point. Biggest improvement was the music. One of the waiters in the day was dj’ing at night and played a killer set. Capped the night off with some nice shisha....
