After a few days of pasta and pizza without toppings, this was a breath of fresh air. I nagged my friends to go out to Playa del Ingles just to go here, and was not disappointed!
We got a table with a view of the beach and the sea, which was really pretty! We could also see a cute cat exploring below, which provided great entertainment for our meal :)
This was the best vegan food I had in Gran Canaria, aside from a considerably more expensive meal elsewhere! I was very impressed with the options available and the waitresses' knowledge of what was vegan and what wasn't (being able to double-check was very reassuring!).
I had a mocktail which was delicious, and the spring rolls were really good too. For mains I got the fried tofu with vegetables in curry sauce, which was delicious. It came with rice and was a decent portion. The food took a while to arrive but the waitresses were very busy, and they were very friendly and understanding. And the food was absolutely worth the wait, with great prices!
My friends ordered pizza and enjoyed their meals too, although not the best pizza they'd had so far on the trip - but of course, since it's not an Italian restaurant! Not sure why they went with the pizza anyway, since there were so many great Singaporean and Asian food options on offer!
Unfortunately there weren't any vegan options for dessert but honestly I was just so grateful to have had some variety.
If you're vegan or veggie and fed up of chips, pizza and pasta, come here! Great drinks and food, and really...
Read moreWe visited early evening (2 adults, 2 teens) so many people still enjoying the beach and all restaurants were quiet. Picked this based on reviews. Staff were busy and attentive. Sold us a starter to share which was really nice. Girls both had pizza, a Margarita and 4 seasons (tuna, prawns, ham and mushroom) we had chicken skewer and a steak. Pizza reviews were top notch, particularly enjoyed the base, one described it as "like a baguette". The chicken skewer was good. Literally 4 pieces of chicken breast soaked in garlic butter, cooked and served on a skewer. There was one piece of green pepper and one piece of onion also on the skewer. I would have preferred a few more vegetables, but the chicken was tasty and the smattering of salad and a few chips was OK. The steak was cooked well, also soaked in garlic butter and served with a couple of chips and a couple of leaves. All in all, service was good, food was good, especially the pizzas. And a great view of the...
Read moreThe food in this place doesn't stand out as excellent but was definitely good. What did stand out was the great service. One Chinese lady (presumably the owner) did all the waiting herself. She was obviously working very hard, and yet ever hospitable and very friendly. After our food we decided to go for some of the very affordable cocktails. They didn't taste much like how they are supposed to, but were very nice to drink nonetheless. Most of all, the cocktails were strong! The lady was happy to accommodate us and make us quite a few in between her serving the other guests. After we got quite tipsy and were getting ready to go she offered us some free shots (we had two each but could have gotten more if we wanted to) of a local Canarian spirit. The glasses they were served in were quite explicit and hilarious. We had a good time! I would recommend visiting this place if...
