Great place for japanese food. Everything was so fresh and tasty. We visited a few times, and had the set menus and also just picked from the menu as well. The set menu is great value with a glass of wine included. The service is very friendly and helpful too. The duck is amazing, the miso soup, seaweed salad and spring rolls delicious, the salmon and avocado sushi excellent, the pudding and wine were great. Didn't get photos of everything as the food was so hood it was gone in no time! Nothing to complain about at all. I just don't understand why this place isn't fully booked all the time. The locals gave a steady takeaway stream via local deliveroos each night, so they do know a good thing when they see it!! Probably the best sushi we have found on the island. The traditional table made the experience special, the sushi was fresh and delicious, and the wakame seaweed salad was amazing. Highly recommended.

Update 28/08/2025 We came back to the restaurant and the service was truly magnificent. It seems that last time may just have been an off day. This time everything went smoothly and we were very well looked after. Our server, Chengyu, was extremely kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, Lucas kindly returned my son’s AirPods that he had forgotten on our previous visit – we didn’t even realise we had lost them. Decent sushi spot on the island with an extensive menu. We sat inside one of their Japanese style booths where you had to take your shoes off upon entering because the lighting was softer in there. The rest of the restaurant and outdoor was bathed in white light that was too bright for dinner. The music resembled lullabies and was too distracting for the atmosphere. The standout dishes were the beef tataki, shrimp & scallop soup, and the hamachi sashimi.
