a little view of our stay at hotel Green field in playa del ingles Gran Canaria we ignored all negative reviews and so glad we did! #hotelgreenfield #grancanaria🇮🇨 #holiday #sun #hotel #amazing #reccomended #playadelingles

Just came back from a week all Inclusive. Hotel is lovely, rooms are spacious (we were a couple) with plenty of hanging space and a sofa in side, and balcony table and chairs outside with a space tk hang bikinis and towels outside. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming. We asked questions during our stay (no complaints) and everything was answered for us. The food is varied (breakfast the same each day) with lunch and dinner having a couple of hot options, varying salads and soup. Options are well labelled includig allergen information. Could offer more hot veggie main options (especially when some of the meat options like creamy pasta with bacon could be easily made veggie if you didn't add bacon) but the selection of sides and salads meant I came away with a full delicious plate each meal time anyway. Same as most all inclusive places I've been before just a point of note for future veggies! Branded soft drinks on tap, which I was very happy about as I'm a pepsi max addict! Room and communal areas were clean, including the pool area despite never actually noticing anyone ever cleaning up after guests, it' was always tidy and free from glasses etc. Crazy! Availability for sunbeds was fine, I think twice we had to wait 10 mins sat at the bar before someone left and we could take the space, but we were also going peak middle of the day rather than morning, as we were coming back from morning out. Location was great, 10 mins by car/taxi to various attractions like the water park or theme park. 20-30 mins walk to the dunes, along the promenade and then through resteraunt and shop frontages. Mario from the hotel was selling the boat trip which we went on, deciding we trusted a trip where the hotel continued to allow them to use the hotel as a base more than someone on the street, and it was great! Would reccomend and worth the money. Chance to jet ski (for added £), snorkle, banana boat ride, and pick up and drop off included, food and drinks on board included, great music (not overly party party) and great host who was friendly and spoke every language under the sun! Lie down beds to hire too if you want a lazier boat trip. All in all, very good time 💖

My honest review. We booked an all inclusive 7 nights stay. The location is good, meaning there are restaurants, shops, rent a car around, also the beach itself is relatively close. Did drive around the island and in my opinion Maspalomas is the best place to stay. The hotel is good, the rooms are ok, cleaning every day! Rhe pool was nice, but too small for the amount of the people, also just like everywhere, peolpe storm the poolside at 9am when it opens and "reserve" the sunbed! The pool bar had little to offer regarding food, and the variety of drinks was also limited, to say the least. I did not liked the loud music infront of the hotel, since there is an Irish Bar with live and loud music late into the night. Food, well.... When it comes to food, the presentation is good but the taste is just blunt... I was extremely hungry and ate every time but was not totally satisfied. Vegetarian options should be more inclusive. I would rate food 3/5! I wasn't disappointed but excepted more for the money. My overall rate would be 3.3/5. The staff were friendly and helpful, cleaner lady's also, it's just the loud music and quality of food which needs changes.

My wife and I love travelling and rely on reviews off this site and others when making our minds up where to go, so it is so sad to see so many inaccurate reviews. We arrived at 10.30PM receptionist, who seemed very pleasant during the check in process. Sadly she then turned quite rude and evasive if you wanted any further information. Due to the time of our arrival, we were given a packed lunch type meal, which although very minimal, it was gratefully received. We put our bags in the room and went down to the pool bar for a drink. It was at this point we were informed that All Inc was only until 11pm. This was disappointing, but on further investigation, it is stated on the Jet2 website. The AC in the rooms is turned down to the lowest possible level, this is something many Canarian hotels are doing to cut costs. I have read many reviews complaining about the food on offer here, lets put this into perspective, it is billed as a 3* resort so A La Carte fine dining is not what you are getting here. What you do get is a really good choice which should suit most. Breakfast is a variety of breads, cereals, fruits, meats and cheeses with a hot buffet should you prefer. Yes there were some odd choices some days like broccoli but maybe some cultures do eat this for breakfast. I personally wasn't a fan of the sausages, some days undercooked, some days just poor quality but cheese and beans on toast was my answer. Would be nice to have a cook on the front griddle to make fresh eggs or omelettes. Snacks from 12noon are burgers, hot dogs, fries and pizza. Lunch however from 1pm is another spread of different hot foods including chicken, fish and pasta amongst other options. Dinner was always a decent selection of a variety of hot meals, yes this did include rabbit, Liver and other items that I wouldn't normally eat, but it was plentiful and really quite tasty. The pool area itself is where this hotel really lets itself down. It is dated and in desperate need for some TLC and some investment. This is where this 3* would struggle to gain a 2* status. Tiles missing from several areas of the pool itself. Cleanliness of the pool area is not great with it only having 1 thorough clean during our 2 week stay and feeling quite dirty. The pool itself doesn't open until 9am which thankfully stops the 6am reservists. Sadly you still have people reserving sunbeds and parasols but not then turning up until 4pm because they have been on a trip! This hotel needs to enforce its 30minute rule to make it fair for everybody. One morning there was Glass in the pool which hotel staff reluctantly cleaned after several complaints but didn't shut the pool whilst they did this and glass was still being found several hours later. Many people are criticizing the hotel for this and maybe they have a point but my big question would be, which guest threw the glass in the pool overnight? Its them that should be ashamed of themselves. My main criticism of the pool area is that the self service soft drink and coffee station do not open until 11am meaning you could, as we were, sat in 30+ degrees heat for 2 hours with no means of getting a drink of any description. The entertainment was repetitive but again lets not forget that this is a 3* resort and there are not many 3*'s that offer any entertainment, The location is great for trying out loads of other bars and restaurants and is literally a 10 minute walk form the beach. Some Great staff here, the Entertainment Duo worked their socks off whilst remaining positive and happy. Phili and Yosvani behind the pool bar were brilliant and made a great double act and most of the others were pleasant also. Some bad eggs including the girl on Reception and Padro in the restaurant are definitely in the wrong jobs! They are both very rude. To summarise, the biggest problem with this hotel is the way Jet2 sell it. It is barely a 3* in many areas. It certainly isn't a family friendly hotel but it would be a great base for couples or even the 18-30's...

April 2022 Our holiday to greece got cancelled so this was a substitute as there was nothing else. We arrived late at night on a Sunday it was 11pm approx.

Checked in, the welcome was ok we were given 3 ham sandwiches and 3 bananas. I dont eat meat so we went over the road to a take away.

Hotel bathroom. Dirty grout, toilet seat damaged. The worst part is that the bathroom door is not a real door its a glass screen that does not close or lock, badly fits into the space where the door should be and there are gaps you can see past. Me and my friends definitely know each other very well after this week.

The first night the music outside was playing until 5am and it is extremely loud we have a view of the clubs outside and they are so loud. You can't block all the noise out because the rooms are so hot and the air con does not work. So you need to open the balcony door. By looking at other reviews it seems the air con has been broken for years.

The WiFi doesn't work. It connects but doesn't load anything. Used my data the entire holiday.

The music was on every night until very early hours but we stayed out in yumbo most nights in the bars and clubs.

The next day we are rudely awoken by a woman coming to the room demanding to clean it, we had only been in it for few hours! She came in looked around and left.

Realised when going to take a shower that we had 2 towels, I asked her for another one when I saw her. She said no. I said there are 3 of us. She said no only 2 towels allowed. I then said it in Spanish "3 persona" and she said no. But then as I was walking away she shouted me and gave me 2 used towels off the trolley. I was mortified. As if I am going to steal your disgusting yellow smelly towels.

I had gone to the pool and my friend was asleep and he said that 3 members of staff came in looking round the room and didn't do anything and left. People were in and out of our room several times on several days, no knocking just barging in. One time my other friend was in the shower and the cleaner opened the door and walks straight into the bathroom even though I shouted no!

There is no privacy in this hotel.

Only one cleaner said that she won't intrude she will return another time when it is better for me as she can not clean whilst we are all in the room. Which made me realise the other staff were wrong.

The food is absolutely vile. A pig would not eat it. We ate out every day, did not use the all inclusive. Tried to get some water but you can only have a cup at a time. No bottles available. The choice of drink is shocking, cheap cola, cheap beer, cheap dilute juice full of sugar. Again we spent a lot of money this week eating at restaurants.

There is tuna in everything. Tuna pasta, tuna pizza, tuna potatoes. There is no snacks available like it says on the website and booking information, we had to go to the supermarket and buy large bottles of water and some snacks. The food at lunch is the same at dinner, it does not cater for vegetarian. I had a miserable salad of lettuce and cucumber and a few chips. It was not good. The food that is not eaten is just there for later. Same stuff in same pots.

No entertainment. No bar late on. Nobody even stays in the hotel for the night because it is so bad.

Was speaking to a homeless man and he asked why we don't eat at the hotel and I told him the name of the hotel AND HE LAUGHED. A man with no home laughed!!!!

I am aching everywhere because the bed is like a brick and a weird foam brick pillow. My joints are so sore.

Our last day we left at 7pm so I asked to keep the room a bit longer and he said for 30 euro yes, so I said OK and paid it. But really they should pay me to stay here because it is terrible. I just needed somewhere to keep my suitcase until the...

This review will be in parts as a”exceeds the character limit” PT2

The pool/pool bar- the pool itself was nice and spacious and has a kids pool for younger kids but if you want to come away to get drunk then unless you go to a bar outside the hotel every night it is not looking too easy for you as the alcohol served tastes like water in my opinion and has little amounts used, the soft drink machines run out everyday and is watered down regardless so unless you like the taste of watered down soft drinks then you will hate the ones here. The all-inclusive ends at 11 pm for the pool bar when if you have paid for all-inclusive, you expect everything to be all-inclusive 24/7. There was a lifeguard round the pool every day watching over everyone .

The staff- the staff as you can gather from the room situation are not very helpful, are miserable and have a bad attitude towards the holiday makers as when we tried to get a refund for our rooms at the end of the holiday and said “we’d been in the wrong room and want a refund” the receptionist present simply replied “and?…” with shrugged shoulders and with the most can’t be bothered attitude I’ve ever witnessed in a hotel. There was only one member of staff who was the in-house rep who was helpful and actually showed they cared about their job and position who I will not name but he is definitely the best person to speak to about your problems which I’m sure you will have a few. There are a male and a female around the pool every day who I assume are in charge of things like entertainment and activities for inside and out of the pool who are very good with the kids as they have shown throughout our stay and try to get as many people as involved with the activities as possible.

The area- obviously the hotel cannot take accountability for the area but if you have kids and want a family holiday, then this is not the best location for you, as there are a few bars situated around the hotel, golf courses, a few shopping malls, which are not very “good” as all the shops are the same. The strip with all the restaurants and bars was the best place and only place that me and my party went to as it was a max 10 minute walk away from our hotel and was good enough for a few days, but after a while it does get boring going to the same place every night.

The cleaners- as good of a job as they do of cleaning the rooms they are not very respectful with your belongings, our shoes were on the floor and not even just thrown in places so they were not in the way of the cleaners to do their job, but when we arrived back in our room after being round the pool, we noticed all of our shoes had been thrown into one corner of the room and we could tell this as they were all piled up upside down and each pair of shoe was separated.

The weather- the weather was warm and sunny throughout our stay which was from the 29th of July for two weeks, so it was a good time to come away.

All in all our stay was not the most enjoyable and will definitely not be recommending this hotel to anyone, furthermore will not be...
