A Hidden Gem for Authentic Italian Pizza in Gran Canaria!
During our trip to Gran Canaria, we tried pizza at several places, but this restaurant truly stood out. Located just across from the shopping center, it’s slightly hidden away, but what a gem! From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was something special.
The staff were absolutely amazing—warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Their passion for hospitality was evident, and they went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
Now, onto the star of the show—the pizza! The family running the restaurant is from Naples, so you can imagine the level of skill and authenticity behind their craft. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the pizzas were nothing short of perfection, with a beautifully crisp yet airy crust and high-quality ingredients that truly set them apart. As an added touch, they even treated us to some complimentary appetisers, which was a lovely surprise.
Though they’ve only been open for two months, with food and service this good, they are sure to become a favorite in Gran Canaria in no time. If you’re in the area and looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, this is the place to go. We’ll...
Read moreRead the reviews, read the recommendations and thought we'd give it a go. There was 9 of us dinning for my sisters birthday so I wanted to take her somewhere nice. Food tasted good but had no Idea what half the stuff on the menu was, it's not your normal Italian food like Spag bol, lasagna.
We went in asked if they could accommodate us, was asked to give them a minute which was understandable. From there the service ended, a waiter came and asked what drinks we wanted, after taking the first 3 he just walked off outside. After a few minutes he shouted something and another waiter came over. The drinks came bit by bit. We was then asked by the same first drinks guy and yet again halfway through he just walked off, at this point we was ready to walk out. If it wasn't the faced they had made a table for us I would have paid the drinks and walked out. The food order was eventually taken We literally ate the food, I paid the bill and we left before the table was cleared. We went to a different Italian the following night which more than made up for the poor...
Read moreWe had been recommended by our favourite Italian coffee shop in PDI and were certainly not disappointed.
Opposite the Yumbo down a side path you arrive in an oasis with fabulous food at its centre, the gentle jazz soundtrack and vibrant italian conversation certainly proves "we're not in Kansas anymore!" The specials menu is foodie heaven, the wine menu is exclusive and even for a trained sommelier a tad frightening as I'd only heard of the wines starting at €40.
Following a delicious aperitif we chose 2 pizzas this time and our host recommended a fabulous sicilian wine with an amazing back story and a reasonable price. Both pizzas and wine exceeded expectations, the shared Tiramisu was equally divine as was the gratis Raspberry sorbet.
For a divine Italian dining experience at a reasonable price this is a must go to restaurant when in PDI. Grazie...
