One of the best places I've eaten in Gran Canaria, but then again, a lot of places here serve incredible food. The servers were really nice and helpful, they were joking with us and recommended us many things to do and see around Gran Canaria/Maspalomas. We initially didn't even come here to eat, we just sat down and had some lemon sorbet and drinks, because it was extremely hot on that day. We were sitting for quite a long time, however the servers didn't mind at all, and the place was not completely full anyway. HOWEVER, people around us kept ordering paellas, and the smell was absolutely incredible. The view of the paellas was, too. After some time we decided to order a seafood paella, because we became hungry from looking and smelling what other people ate around us. It was the best decision we ever made. We got a huge seafood paella, loaded with freshest possible ingredients. It was SO GOOD. We also ordered some bruschetti and shrimps in butter sauce. Everything was great, but paella was the absolute star of the show. I have never eaten a paella this good, in my life. Not to mention we were 4 people, and could not even finish it. It was huge (but then again, it was 38C outside that day). Afterwards we got incredible glass of homemade sangria, on the house. All in all it was a great experience and I keep dreaming about that paella which I ate there. It is worth mentioning tho, that prices in Maspalomas are slightly higher than the ones in Las Palmas. It makes sense, considering that Maspalmas is an extremely touristy town full of big hotels and resorts for the elite.

Also pro tip: DEFINITELY try the orange slices in the paella!! They were INCREDIBLE to eat after all the...

I normally don't write review but because of the bad experience with the waiter of the restaurant, I have to write something.

We would like to have our food take away, the waiter said that it would take about 15 min, it was okay because we came to watch the sunset near the dune and it was about 18:30. After 30 min waiting, I came to ask the waiter if he could ask the kitchen how long would our food take because we had to go. He responded totally unfriendly that he would not ask the kitchen because he didn't want to urge them and we had to wait because there were too many guests at the restaurant and it was not McDonald's.

I were shocked because of how impolite he was. Above all, it was never our fault that the restaurant was full, since I saw him still trying to invite more tourists to come to the restaurant. When you can't consider the kitchen's ability to handle the orders, you should not take them at all. You can't invite a bunch of people to the restaurant, let them wait and be rude when you receive a complaint.

Even when I misheard the time of the order, the waiter could also easily polite answer that it may take a litte longer since we were full instead of being totally unfriendly.

I also work in a hotel that has restaurant in Germany so I fully understand that it was not a difficult situation. It may not important for the restaurant or the waiter since tourists come and go all the time but I hope you can act more professionally.

FYI: We left the restaurant when the waiter started to yell at us and came to another restaurant, which was also that full and ordered the same, it took less than 10 min for the food...

Amazing!

We were a group of 6, so between the entées and mains we could taste a lot of the menu.

The first odd thing were the menus. I was flipping through my menu with pictures (usually not a good sign) and found it quite limited, but still good enough for a meal. Then I noticed that my friend sitting across from me had a different menu. No pictures and a LOT more dishes! So that was very confusing.

However, the food itself was SO great! Tasty, flavourful, looked appetizing. The portions were huge! So be aware of this when ordering. ...but that's only a good thing. The lasagne hit the comfort food spot. The seafood platter was plentiful. The king prawns were luscious. The ribs were huge portion.

The service was nice and friendly. But nothing special and memorable. Had to wait a long time for the check and then again to actually pay with card.

All in all, we were happy with our experience and definitely didn't...

I recently dined at Restaurant Columbus, and it was an absolute delight! The seafood pasta was outstanding—perfectly cooked with fresh, flavorful ingredients that truly captured the essence of the sea. The bruschetta was equally impressive, with crisp bread topped with a delicious blend of fresh tomatoes, garlic, and basil. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such a combination of great food and excellent hospitality. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with amazing dishes and top-notch service, I highly recommend Restaurant Columbus. I’ll definitely be back!

Found this place with google reviews ( mostly very positive ratings) and wasn't disappointed at all. Very friendly staff with jokes, I like the concept of daily menu (almost half of the main dishes starters there) where u get a starter (soup/salad) a main dish and an ice cream/coffee for less than 10€. I tried the grilled stirloin steak and was really surprised by the quality of the meat. Yummy! Highly recommend, will definitely return, I mean 2 persons with food and drinks less than 30€ is a just truely hard to beat and with such tasty and high quality food the price/quality ratio is rly great.
