Bar Belarra — Restaurant in San Sebastián

We discovered this little cafe during our last visit and it quickly became one of our new favorite places.

Not only are the two women who run the place very sweet (Ana is the owner), but every day we visited, they had at least 2 fresh homemade tortillas, and one is usually spicy, which is rare in the Basque Country. We visited three times during our last stay in DSS and so were able to try their regular tortilla, as well as their pepper tortilla and their spicy mushroom tortilla. I don't even like mushrooms (called "perretxikoak" in Basque and "champiñones" in Spanish) but loved this tortilla.

We stumbled upon this absolute gem as we were trying to escape the January rain, and how lucky we were! Ana was incredibly welcoming and her homemade pintxos were delicious. Great selection of wine and spirits too. We will definitely be back!...

Hemos venido a desayunar y la tostada que hemos pedido estaba riquísima y la hizo en el mismo momento. Es un bar con personalidad y muy acogedor y la señora que nos atendió fue súper amable. Todo es casero y se nota en lo rico que está! Tenían leche de soja, que fue lo que nos hizo decantarnos por este bar. Cabe destacar que la gente que había en el lugar no parecían turistas y eso dice bastante del bar (positivamente). Pedido: Café con leche de soja 1.50, kas de naranja 2.50 y tostadas con tomate y jamón 3.50 (grandes de barra de pan). Precio: 7.50€
