Karrusel Gastro-Bar — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Surreal slow service. I thought I was on candid camera. An lady who behaved like she lived on another planet tried her best to ignore me in about ten minutes doing a lot of other stuff. She ran away to the kitchen and then came back and started to serve a customer who only came to ask for something. He got a beer. Then she did a lot of other stuff including talking to herself. She seemed occupied so I didnt bother to let her know I didnt got the whole day even if I was on vacation. After about ten minutes when Ive been standing in front of the line by the desk she started to take my order. I was standing in line before that in 20 minutes just watching her do her worst to hurry and be effective. The line grew behind me and her collegue took care of five customer meanwhile I was stuck with her. The first thing I ordered was pizza. They made the pizza in the kitchen from scratch. Good pizza. No complaints there BUT the pizza was ready before she was ready with my order. I just wanted a beer, slush and coffee but that was to much to ask for. Crazy. An experience in a weird point of view. Really nice food here with impressive views over the bay, had my first pintxos ever here which was cool. Unfortunately, this bar has some of the slowest service I've ever seen. There was a queue to get inside which might I stress wasn't too long, but it still took around 20 minutes for me to make it to the front. There were only two staff members behind the counter and they clearly weren't in any rush whatsoever as they were so unbelievably slow serving each customer. The food was definitely overpriced as well, it was nice, but still overpriced. If I didn't have such a strict schedule, I would've chosen to eat someplace else but unfortunately, this seemed to be the only place open at the time at the top of the mountain that served food. Pongo una estrella porque no me deja publicar con cero. Hace unos días subi a Igueldo con mi padre, un anciano de 86 años que ha pasado una auténtica pesadilla los últimos 15 meses. Vive en una residencia y después de muchos meses solos, aislados sin visitas, después de pasar un ictus y la Covid (ingresado muy malito en un hospital), de muchos fallecidos en su residencia, de perder a su perro... además de quedarse en silla de ruedas por todo esto, me pidió subir a comer a Igueldo. Tuve que preparar puré y demás comida especial para él porque no pueden comer cualquier cosa después de un ictus y una vez allí vi que estaba abierta la cafetería karrusel. Un montón de mesas y sillas completamente vacías porque allí a esa hora pega el sol y no tienen sombrillas. Le pregunté si podría dejarnos una mesa para poder dar de comer a mi padre y se negó. He de decir que en las dos horas siguientes ni una sola persona se sentó en la terraza. NI UNA. Mientras tanto, mi padre comió como pudo, sin mesa y junto a un banco que hay pegado a esa cafetería. La chica que me "atendió" me dijo que pasase a la parte de atrás, el hotel, porque allí tenían terraza a la sombra y estaba vacía. Lo hicimos. Empujé la silla de ruedas de mi aita hasta la recepción del hotel, donde fue peor aún. Cero empatía, cero profesionalidad (porque hasta para decir que no hay que tener más clase). Señores del gastro bar Karrusel. Durante muchos años, siendo mi padre más joven y pudiendo andar, hemos pasado muchos ratos en su terraza CONSUMIENDO BEBIDA Y COMIDA. Ahora ya no interesa verdad? Porque ese cliente suyo se ha hecho anciano y necesita ayuda. El egoísmo que vi en ustedes es inmenso. Supongo que ustedes tienen padres y abuelos y que ustedes mismos se van a hacer ancianos. Espero también que alguien les haga lo mismo. No ayudarles en una situación así. Pena debería darles, por no decir vergüenza, de tener dos horas vacías todas sus mesas y permitir que un señor tan mayor y delicado no tenga donde apoyarse para comer un puré con su hija. No volveré jamás a consumir en su bar. Cero absoluto. Hay muchas formas de hacer publicidad de un negocio. No están ustedes a la altura. Muchas personas que hoy son sus consumidores clientes se irán haciendo viejos. Atiendanles igualmente. Aunque no vayan a consumir, sino a pedirles usar una de esas mesas en las que antes gastaron su dinero cuando eran más jóvenes. De vergüenza. La humanidad se está extinguiendo.
