During my recent visit to The Torreón, I was struck by the contrast between the restaurant’s stunning aesthetics and its subpar service. Situated in a beautiful and posh location with breathtaking views, The Torreón promises an upscale dining experience, but unfortunately, it falls short in several key areas. To start, we ordered anchovies, bogavante salad, and txangurro. While these starters were good, they did not stand out as exceptional. The real issue began with the service. The wait between courses was excessive, often stretching to 30 minutes, and this delay started before we even managed to place our order. For the mains, we had merluza and solomillo. Both dishes were well-prepared and enjoyable, living up to the restaurant’s culinary reputation. However, the protracted waiting times significantly detracted from the overall experience, turning what should have been a seamless meal into a frustrating affair both being served sort of cold. Dessert was the biggest letdown of the evening. The torrija was disappointingly soggy, and the cheesecake appeared to be store-bought, overwhelmed with an excessive amount of syrup. This lack of attention to detail in the final course left a sour note to an already inconsistent dining experience. In summary, while The Torreón boasts a beautiful setting and good food, the service was unacceptably slow and the desserts were a major disappointment. The restaurant's ambiance sets high expectations that the overall experience does not meet. If they can improve their service, their wine and dessert offerings, they could truly match the promise of their impressive location. If you dont mind to risk it wirh the huge discordination between waiters and kitchen, give it a try. Next time we will prepare some picnic in advance!

A truly wonderful evening of outstanding food and wine. The service was exemplary and attentive without being overly fussy. Having read the reviews I was unsure about going but talking at the bar with another guest I was told that the restaurant was impressive so we thought why not. Am I glad we did. My wife declared the Scallops the best she’s ever had. (As it was my starter) I kind of agree. We followed with Cod for her and Pork for me both dishes were fine dining level and totally awesome. We finished with the Local Cheesecake to complete a totally memorable evening

Lovely views but mediocre food. The crepe that they offer for dessert was so cold it felt like it had been made in the morning, even though the ice cream that accompanied was half-melted. The steak tartar was delicious but a bit scarce, served in three Mexican tortillas. The anchovies were nice but they could only offer white toast to go with it, so no care for intolerances.

Avoid at all cost! Worst experience in a restaurant ever!

Generally I don't like leaving negative reviews, but for this one I had to make an exception. It's absolutely abismal...

Initially we didn't get any drinks, it was only offered to us when we asked for drinks after about 40 minutes. We had to wait for a total of 2 hours until the food was prepared, only for it to be raw. Additionally the wrong food was served to me. Which was returned.

All these terrible aspects (slow service, bad/wrong food) were not what we had expected from a restaurant that sits inside a four star hotel. Hence we decided to get the bill for only the things we really had, which were only the drinks. Once we decided to leave other couples followed promptly as well meaning we weren't the only ones served badly.

This is all too bad since there's so much potential for this to be an excellent restaurant. It's rather unfortunate that this event has occurred. I'm hopeful that things can improve in the...
