When we sat down, we immediately were served a burrata, without even ordering. We thought everyone would get one but waited a minute before starting. When our waiter arrived he realized that we were wrongly served a dish and took it away. Then we ordered some olives as a starter, which were okay. The olives in every other place were substantively better. As we wanted to eat something else than pinxos we decided to go for some basic Italian dishes. We ordered a carbonara and a lasagna. After less than 5 minutes I was served a carbonara, which I couldn’t believe would be done so rapidly. My partner didn’t get her lasagna, which was weird. All in all, the waiter who took our orders realized that the carbonara was served to the wrong table again, and took it away.

After a short wait the carbonara and the lasagna were served, but both dishes tasted off. The carbonara was swimming in its sauce and had a strange taste to it. The lasagna on the other hand was tasting more sour, overfilled with meat and not tasting the pasta dough at all. To sum it up, we were quite disappointed by ordering these two basic Italian dishes. We had high expectations after reading the reviews. However, ours were...

The Parmesan cheese with truffled honey was good, caprese salad was mediocre, the rosemary bread had a slight drizzle of the rosemary oil in the centre of the basket. The Bolognese was rather acidic and the carbonara was ridiculously salty. I like my salt, don’t get my wrong but this dish was not at all eatable. It was as if it was tossed in a salt block with a cup of table salt on top of the already salty parm and pancetta. A true salt bomb, the equivalent of eating a tablespoon of table salt in every bite. After three bites I couldn’t do it anymore. As I write this I can’t come close to quenching my extreme thirst. Very unfortunate as we were looking forward to the well rated place. The atmosphere was good, lighting was intense but matched the vibe. The staff was pleasant but didn’t care my meal wasn’t eatable. Our table was near the pizza oven, the wall next to our table was splattered in god knows what, on the plus side the inside of the lamp shade matched it. All in all, I would consider trying the pizza but a hard pass...

I came across this place by accident and was lucky enough to get a table. I was struggling as a vegan and managed to get a pasta dish that suited me it was super tasty. One thing I noticed tonight was the excellent service team they had with a great attitude. Not only were they super nice and friendly and all spoke English . One waitress walked by and I saw her looking at my dog under the table, next thing she appeared with a bowl of water for my dog 🐶 The guest next to me dropped his knife on the floor another staff member heard the cutlery fall on the floor walked to see what had fallen and without saying anything to the guest he replaced the knife. This may seem trivial to some people but to me they were a team of young staff with Initiative something you don’t see often in a restaurant. I would like to compliment the restaurant on their amazing food but also on their very dedicated team of friendly staff and for being so helpful and giving their guests so much attention to detail. We had a great experience and would...

Nothing like real italian food, the ragu bolognese tasted like it came from the grocery store in a can. Nothing about the dish was ragu as it was just regular ground beef. The interior felt like a weak try of being italian and the atmosphere was almost like a fast food restaurant. We came here because we are big fans of good italian cuisine, the fact the restaurant was fully booked for the entire week and cause it had recieved good reviews online. I guess the people giving higher reviews have not been to a good italian trattoria. The staff handled us like just another customer with the possibility to make money. Do not recommend. If you are going here I would not take the ragu or the carbonara. The carbonara was made with large amounts of cream and ham. The wine was poured at the counter with no option of tasting and no option to see the bottle.

this was by far the worst experience we had on our visit in san sebastian. I was not even surprised to see the lack of professionalism in the restaurant’s responses to negative reviews. It is absolutely asinine to tell a customer they are lying in their review, which is something I saw often in the companies responses. This being said, the food was maybe the worst italian food I have ever had. The pasta and sauce were reheated, the carbonara had cooked scrambled eggs in it (the one thing to avoid in a carbonara) See photo attached. I was genuinely blown away when seeing the quality of food in comparison to the amount of positive reviews they have received. Wait staff was okay, not memorable. Frankly the pasta was just so horrendous I will probably never forget it. Unforgettable but in the worst way.
