I am quite surprised that this restaurant is getting such a high recommendations. We were biased with it as well and decided to try it.
Just for one exception, we experienced very unfriendly staff behaviour. The employees were treating us in a way that it seemed they hate their job and every new customer is just additional suffering to the routine.
The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the food. The food was "normal". You can't expect anything extra in Spain, mostly you are nicely surprised when you get food that is really tasty. But this did not happen in Baobab. I ordered secreto Ibérico and had high expectations. My girlfriend got entercote steak. Both foods came jsut with chips as side and that was it. The meat itself in both cases did not go through any special treatment and the meal itself was more suited for a fast food stall than highly recommend restaurant. Everyone can cook such a simple food by themselves at home.
The price was not definitely adequate for what we get there. I am not sure if the staff is the same there for the whole week or if this was just a exception in otherwise very nice restaurant but I would recommend to everyone thinking about visiting this place to avoid it and not to get biased with the reviews as we did. It is...

Read moreSuch a strange experience. Waiter asked - in English - where we were from as we sat down - when we told him (in our poor but passable Spanish) he talked about how his daughter is living there. Then 3 minutes later he came back to our table and asked us again - but this time in German - where we are from. I thought maybe he was tired un well but saw him stagger a couple of times. Other waiter looked a little confused and forgot our order which was OK as we weren't in a rush but when we decided to leave the money for the bill plus a tip on the table rather than waiting for ages again, a waitress (rather than glancing first at the table) where the money sat, ran out after us accusing us of not paying. The pizzas were lovely but think maybe a good conversation might...
