Panzaburro Gastrotasca — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

We went there again and this time we had another waiter. After having had such a great experience the last time, we went for some more special dishes, that our new waiter assured me were safe for celiacs. I insisted asking several times about the food and sauces (I was especially sceptical about the teriyaki sauce) but he said it was all safe. Then for dessert he served me a chocolate mousse with a mikado-stick – gluten – right inside. Had to make him change it but I suspect the mousse itself contained gluten, too. The waiter didn’t seem to take the whole celiac thing very serious, neither did he seem too well informed. By the time I ate the dessert, I had already started cramping and feeling bad. For me, the night was over, I had the worst reaction I’ve had in a long time. After all, this place seems to be completely unreliable, depending on the waiter who serves you. Chicken cloud was over cooked, tiny dry bits of chicken with a rock hard dry coating that was tasteless and left the mouth stinging for water. The croquettes I had as a starter were cold. My husband's starter was forgotten and we had to remind them to bring it after mine was finished. My husband's main course of varied fried fish was mushy and tasteless. Potato salad with it was ok. I gave 1 star for the man who served us who was polite. Otherwise my opinion of this restaurant is that they need to go back to the basics and cook the food properly and only then...

Luogo accogliente, la persona che si occupa delle prenotazioni, probabilmente uno dei proprietari, é sempre lì ad attenderti con un sorriso e grazia. La prima volta che abbiamo pranzato in questo posto é stato nel periodo di Carnevale, periodo di grande, grandissima confusione. Noi eravamo in 2, e pur non avendo prenotato un tavolo, per fortuna siamo riusciti a pranzare ugualmente, restando sorpresi dell'organizzazione con cui stavano gestendo questi giorni. C'era un menù fisso, probabilmente molte cose già pronte all'interno dei piatti(come accade per i catering), abbiamo mangiato in pochissimo tempo, cose buone, davvero buone, presentazione dei piatti davvero molto bella, curata nei dettagli, servizio veloce, e prezzo ottimo. Siamo ritornati in posto posto altre 2 volte per cena, Sempre la stessa cosa, accoglienza piacevole, cher ti fa sentire a tuo agio, il cameriere molto descrittivo nel dirci le pietanze "fuori menù". Ogni volta assaggiamo sempre qualcosa di nuovo, e ogni volta sono rimasta contenta di quello che ho mangiato. Mi congratulo per il lavoro che viene fatto da queste persone, dai camerieri a chi ci ha investito in questo settore. La ristorazione é un settore difficile, sacrificato, orari impossibili, e feste comandate con molta affluenza di lavoro. Solo chi ama questa lavoro riesce a farlo bene. E questo é uno di quei casi dove tutto questo si vede e si tocca con palato....
