Gastrobar Cortxo — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

I really liked this. Interesting tapas dishes and all the food that came out (we ordered around 5 dishes), was tasty, well presented, fresh and satisfying. Yes the prices are higher than what you would normally pay for your bog standard Spanish tapas but I don't think the are doing the same kind of thing here and they pull it off well, it's tapas with a twist.. and the few crowd pleasing favourites that do make an appearance here such as the croquettes are so flavoursome and tasty, I feel they should be forgiven for the slightly inflated price. This is what you pay for quality.

The service was also great, the waiters were very attentive and didn't rush us but didn't take a long time to serve either. The location is off the beaten track but the outside is a nice place to sit on a warm evening to enjoy a leisurely dinner. Will definitely...

We absolutely love this place. High stools, high tables, amazing wines, and delicious food – what more could you ask for? The tavern-like atmosphere is just brilliant and makes you feel right at home while enjoying something truly special.

Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Perfect spot for a casual but elevated night out. If you’re into great food and good wine in a laid-back but stylish setting, this is your place.

Bastante decepcionante la verdad, pedimos el steak tartar y era un sabor muy fuerte a tabasco y a cebolla que no dejaba saborear el resto de cosas del plato, mi impresión para tapar que la carne era de tercera calidad, el sabor se te repetía. Pedimos también unas croquetas de calamares que estaban buenas. Por último las famosas papas bravas, eran espantosas. Había demasiada salsa, pero no se pueden imaginar, no se veían ni las papas en el plato de la salsa que había, era demasiado, te arruina el plato. Como guinda a la cena, le comentamos de muy buena manera que las papas con menos salsa mejoraría el plato, porque nos daba pena que por ese detalle se hubiera arruinado las bravas, a lo que el camarero que ya nos había dado un servicio bastante mediocre, teniendo que pedirle las cosas varias veces y yéndose todo el rato a la esquina a fumar, nos responde "aquí gustan así, me da igual tu opinión".
