Such a gem! We came here two weeks ago and had an amazing meal. The portions were generous, but more importantly, everything was delicious.
Our waiter, Jatin, was amazing and even managed to encourage us to try a dessert, even though we were stuffed. Their traditional Indian dessert was so delicious, we ordered more.
We went to the south of Tenerife for two weeks, came back to Santa Cruz and immediately came back to Delhi Darbar. We were both shocked when Jatin remembered us and our drinks order! He even remembered our dessert too.
There's plenty of options on the menu, without it being overwhelming. Most options are available in a variety of spice levels. I like mild and it was perfect for me.
It's faultless - great food, great value and great service. If I opened a restaurant, I want to hire 10 Jatin's!
10/10. A highlight from...
Read moreI am not sure how this restaurant has close to 5 Stars. Yesterday visited this place with hopes of having a nice tasty Indian meal after getting bored of Pizza and Pasta. Ordered samosa chaat - not hot, just no tang but only a lot of tamarind sauce. Ordered Karahi paneer in vindaloo spice level. I don't know how people think that spice means adding two spoonfuls of chilli powder and mix it. Very bad and spicy curry. No taste absolutely apart from just pure chilli powder. As they say in Hindi, "mirch jhok diya bas aur kuch nahi". Then for some dessert, ordered vanilla gulab jamun. The jamun was absolutely dry and no sugar syrup of any sort. Only the garlic naan and garlic chilli naan was good. All other items are very bad. Sorry but really disappointed as an Indian after having high hopes seeing...
Read moreThe Lamb Dopiaza was excellent. The service was also excellent, courteous and efficient. Regrettably the tandoori chicken was terrible, I do not think it was cooked in the Tandoor it was not coated with the usual spices. I have never experienced such a claimed colourless tandoori chicken fried in the pan in over 50 years of visiting Indian restaurants in London or Tenerife. The shish kebab was very very salty, the cook is definitely a salt lover. It is worth visiting for the Lamb Curry, Nan and the basmati rice. I shall return just for the curry. I complained and praised as per the above to the wonderful polite and efficient waiters. I must add the toilet is very clean. If it wasn't for the Kebab and the so called Tandoori chicken I would have...
