It was a very disappointing visit. We ordered the chicken breast for our 1 year old baby where I emphasised that I didn’t want any salt or sugar with the dish, and the dish was clearly salted. It was then sent back, and only to be returned by again not just traces of salt but also a piece of hair which was extremely disgusting. When I told the waiter and waitress about this, not only did I not get an apology or acknowledgment, they just completely brushed off my comment. By the third time the dish came, I pointed out that there were salt again on the dish because you could clearly see two flicks of self on the dish and the waitress said “that’s not salt” before pointing to the bread saying “but you know there is salt in the bread because that’s how bread is made”. The point is that I specifically requested to not have any salt in my child’s dish and not only did that not happen, it was very gross to see that piece of hair in the dish.
Aside from the chicken breast dish for the baby, my husband and I both ordered the seafood pasta and that took about 50 minutes before arriving, and we were told they’ve decided to not put salt on our dishes with no reason whatsoever. Needless to say, it was very frustrating. We asked for salt which didn’t come so we had to ask again. Meanwhile, the table behind who arrived much later got their paella before us.
I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. It’s been a very...
Read moreNestled along a breathtaking coastline, Cielo y Mar is a culinary masterpiece that truly lives up to its name, meaning "sky and sea." From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an ambiance of sophisticated tranquility. The panoramic windows offer an uninterrupted view of the azure ocean, creating a dining experience that feels both grand and intimate. The menu is a testament to the chef's genius, with each dish a work of art. The seared scallops with black truffle oil were perfectly tender, melting in the mouth with a delicate, earthy flavor. The grilled sea bass, caught fresh that morning, was a revelation—crisp skin giving way to flaky, succulent flesh, all enhanced by a subtle lemon-herb marinade. Service is impeccable, with knowledgeable staff anticipating every need without being intrusive. They guided us through the extensive wine list, recommending a crisp Albariño that paired exquisitely with our seafood. A dinner at Cielo y Mar is not just a meal; it's an unforgettable journey of flavors, sights, and sounds. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly exceptional...
Read moreStaffs don’t speak a lot of English but they have us a very warm welcome, good service overall. Don’t get deceived by the front door, it looks small on a narrow street, there are plenty of seats inside. The area with the sea view is quite small so better to book in advance to ensure you get the table for the sunset.
The seafood platter was good and big enough for two. We didn’t even need to order any sides apart from the bread. There are steak tuna and pan fried fish fillets underneath the shell food. The provided local sauces was great, but would be better if salt and pepper could be provided too.
The only things that we were not sure about this place was the flies around the balcony and the price on the menu is a few euros different to the menu on the wall beside the door.
Parking was not the easiest during the busy hours. We visited on a late afternoon, there were only a few spaces available down the road and we would need to climb up the hill to get to the restaurant. If you are driving with kids or elderly in the group make sure you plan...
