A lovely little restaurant with soul

I haven't had such a lovely and familiar feeling in a restaurant for a very long while. We went here on a recommendation from our hotel. First we would've almost went past it as for the relatively high prices for Tenerife but I am absolutely happy we didn't. The restaurant is family-led and this is the vibe they bring over - feel like home. We absolutely did and enjoyed every minute of it. The dishes and even the drinks are prepared with heart and on their own special recipes. They greeted us with a Welcome-Prosecco and gave us the most table directly at the front where we could see a most wonderful sunset while dining. We had as a Starter the selection of sausages and cheese which had such a tasteful salami and mortadella just the way we know it from Italy. As we really wanted to try at least one of their Pasta-Dishes we tried together the Gorgonzola-Walnut Gnocchi. The cheese was just perfectly adjusted (not too much) so you had the Gorgonzola taste and in the back the walnut flavor as a perfect rounding. The Sangria we had was prepared by themselves with a lot of fruits and just not too dry and sour.

To make a perfect finish we were given two shots of Limoncello.

This is the way I imagine a worthy and nice stay at a restaurant. Sad it can't be found in too many places nowadays anymore but we're delighted we could experience it here.

Within out time on the island we will absolutely return for min. a second time as we fell in love with this little restaurant and this hearty family.

We wish you guys all the best a lot of costumers and please always preserve your love for food the way the way we could...

We stumbled across this restaurant on route to another restaurant to eat our evening meal, and decided to look at the menu.

We were initially attracted by the overall look of the place; modern, well presented and felt quite ‘high-end’. My initial thoughts were, high-end presentation equals ‘high-end’ pricing. Looking at the menu, this wasn’t the case with all dishes being very reasonably priced. We decided to give it a try. I have to say, and I speak on behalf of the others in our party of seven, the whole experience was fantastic.

The service was professional but not overbearing, accommodating and friendly with attention to detail. The food was delicious, adequately proportioned and presented in a fine dining fashion.

There were three adults, three children (8&9) and a toddler in our party, all of which were catered for perfectly. The penne with salmon and the salted cod stew was a real treat while the pizzas were some of the best tasted. The bill was incredibly reasonable and didn’t reflect the high quality of food and service received.

Give this place a try, you’ll not be disappointed!

Thank you guys. We WILL be back!

Mark...

When we came, the staff informed us that due to a large group before us, it would take longer for us to get food, but they did their best to soften the waiting time for us with some complimentary fillers and appetizers.

The food itself was amazing! The steak was cooked on point, the quality of the meat was top notch (I have bad teeth, so the meat quality needs to be very good or I have problems chewing it. I have been to only very few restaurants where I didn't have problems, this was one of them), and the texture of the seafood was so tender, I have never eaten seafood like that.

The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, they did their best to service us well. They also took special care with our needs and that of our son.

If I have anything to complain, is that the dessert could have been bigger, it was very tasty and I have finished eating it too quickly :D oh and some of the translations of the menu were funny

It really is a little gem and we can highly recommend...

On our first day in Tenerife, we decided to dine at Sargo, a charming Italian family restaurant with many homemade dishes. We received a warm welcome from Matteo (I hope I got the name right), who made us feel at home, and briefly explained the concept of the restaurant and its dishes. We were offered a welcome drink and a small bite on the house that reminded me of the dutch Oliebol. The food was fantastic. Highly recommended are the seafood salad and the spaghetti with seafood. And the pasta Bolognese was perfect for our son. We definitely recommend choosing a dish that features one of their homemade specialties. You will not regret it! The delicious flavors, combined with the warm hospitality, friendliness, and excellent service, truly made me happy. Something that's unfortunately rare these days. Thank you, gracias, grazie mille Sargo, for a wonderful evening!

When we came the waiter told that this place is new and they need reviews. We thought we are going to do this, so we ordered wine and started waiting for the soup and fish. As it was cold evening we asked for blankets - they did not have. We asked for wifi - again, waiter does not know the password. We waited for our first dish for around an hour, even though we came to the restaurant FIRST and it was EMPTY (there was no warning that we are going to need to wait so long). People that came after us somehow got their dishes first... All of the people that came after us received their dishes first even though we were friendly with waiter. After 70min waiting we received our soup. Food is not worth for this such a long waiting time, not organised waiter and price. We would not come back.

We visited Sargo almost every evening during our stay in Tenerife, and it truly became one of the highlights of our trip. What touched us the most — even more than the stunning ocean view and the incredible food — were the people. Everyone at Sargo is warm, kind, and truly genuine: from the waiters and kitchen staff to the owner. Their hospitality made us feel welcome and at home from the very first moment. The food was simply outstanding. We tried many different dishes over the course of our stay, and every single one was delicious. You can really feel the care and quality in everything they serve. I wholeheartedly recommend Sargo to anyone visiting the area — and I honestly dream of coming back one day. Thank you for the beautiful memories!
