Disappointing Experience – Would Not Return

I had high hopes for Raíces Restaurante Asador in Los Gigantes, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. After ordering our food, I happened to glance to my right and saw a waiter vomiting into a bin. To my shock, shortly afterward, he proceeded to serve our meals as if nothing had happened.

The next day, both my partner and I became violently ill with vomiting and severe diarrhea, which completely ruined the rest of our trip. Given the circumstances, I have serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene standards and food safety practices.

I personally would not return and would advise others to be cautious before dining here.

We were so looking forward to our meal here as it had been recommended to us but we were left feeling like we were an inconvenience. The man who served us was rude beyond belief, from the moment we walked in we felt like he didn’t want us there. When we ordered our starters there was a moment of indecision and he rolled his eyes and walked off mid order and started handing menus out at another table. We dealt with it in good humour as we didn’t want to spoil the night but on reflection felt that I had to put pen to paper. The food was nice couldn’t really fault it but the whole experience was certainly not worth €200 for 4...

I would like to express our dissatisfaction with the quality and taste of food. The starters was ok, and we decided to continue with the main course. And at that stage we were completely disappointed. 3 out of 4 main dishes were not good at all. The taste was strange (of the salmon and beef especially). The food was precooked earlier and it looked like later it was heated in microwave. Tea, coffee - ok. Is not recommended for those people who prefer freshly cooked and tasty food. By the way, the price is also not that good. To me the service does not...
