I recently dined at Rosso Pomod'oro, and while I had high hopes, the experience left much to be desired.
To start, the restroom facilities were disappointing, with a broken tap that made proper handwashing impossible. This is a basic expectation for any establishment, especially one handling food, and raises concerns about hygiene practices.
The food also fell short of expectations. I ordered the "300g entrecôte," but what arrived was significantly smaller—closer to 200g by my estimate. While the flavor was acceptable, the portion size felt misleading and unprofessional.
The most alarming issue, however, was that one of our guests became violently ill after eating the seafood pasta. They didn’t finish the dish due to an odd taste and later endured a sleepless night of vomiting. This incident suggests there may be serious problems with food safety and quality control in the kitchen.
While the service and ambiance were decent, these critical failings overshadowed any positives. I urge the management to address these issues immediately, as they compromise not only the dining experience but also the health and trust of...
Read moreWe arrived at the terrace when there was no one there, wanted to take 2 more chairs as we were a group of 5, and when the waiter saw us started to tell us that we are not supposed to move their chairs unless we are looking for a job...excuse me?! No welcome, nothing. Just a very pouting face. We wanted to order, only 2 of us had main course, the rest wanted desert. So when we started ordering the waiter had such a disappointed face, telling us that this is a dinner restaurant, and they are supposed to do money there... In the end he accepted as we had 2 of our friends ordering also main course. At the end we received our bill and all the food ordered was marked with non identifiable values, which I believe is not really legal, so we weren't able to know who ordered what.
All in all, I would avoid the restaurant for its service which is not at all professional and polite, their customer service attitude is deeply hidden behind Los Gigantes. Still, the food is tasty and good,...
Read moreI hate to be this one guy who ruins it for you, given the fact that they had 5 stars reviews up until now. My comment is focusing solely on their pizzas and the long waiting time. We were the first guests of the evening but after we sat down the place slowly filled up. The lady owner was very nice but she seemed to be really overwhelmed. If I’m not mistaken there was only one cook that day. We ordered a salad, grilled assorted veggies and two pizzas. The appetizer took unusually long and the main dish took even longer. The salad and the grilled veggies were not bad. There’s still however a big room for improvement for pizzas. The taste, the texture of the dough as well as the cheese were not at all the thin crusted pizzas we know. The dough was too dry and the marinara relatively bland. The cheese was already hard when it was served, not the slightest cheesy. When I attempted to fold a piece in half it even broke off. But see it for yourself. Maybe you have better luck...
