BOOK BEFORE GOING. 4 couples were turned away during our visit for not having a reservation, and the place filled up quickly with booked tables. Very nicely decorated place with genuine Moroccan dishes. Service was initially cold bordering unfriendly, but they warmed up after a few compliments about the food. Portions are huge. Hummus -a staple of north-african cuisine- tasted of chickpeas and tahin, as it should, and it came with extra pita bread for dipping. Pastilla with chicken: Just look at it, and bite on it after letting your curiosity run for 10 sec: “What does this suppose to taste like? 🤔Hard to guess with its dessert-like disguise, oddly charming” Then damn, on first bite, the flavour outran my expectation, with perfectly balanced texture and richness among the meat filling and its crispy outer layer. Plus, that touch of sweetness will set your taste buds down right there like a satisfied school boy -9/10
Some starter from the house, the eggplant one is definitely worth 9/10, I’d even go 9.5 just because I can
Moroccan salad:Mix veggies with some fresh sourness- 7/10
Tajine with plums: Wow, the fruit surprisingly mixes so well with everything braised in the tajine, to accompany some cuscus for enjoyment. A dish that gives a home feeling and exotic charm. 9/10
Some dessert to finish this journey. 7.5/10 (average point, the square one was 9/10)
The journey actually kept going, drank some Moroccan mint tea and sat down for a few pages of African scenery, good life.
