Bar La Riá — Restaurant in Seville

We were strolling along looking for lunch. We viewed many menus ( most in duel language). This one was Spanish only, and looked good from what we have learned on or 16 day trip so far. So we tried it. Great surprise. The sirloin in whiskey and carne al toro were fantastic. We ordered a second round of both. The queso fresco with salmon and capers was very good as well. My son spoke a little Spanish and the waitress was very nice and talked a little slower to him so he could converse. Very nice service. We sat on the terrace overlooking the river. Very tranquil and beautiful. Nice to find a spot away from the classic tourist places. Best yet, and we just stumbled upon it. Highly recommend this...

Compared with formerly published photos, the portion have decreased, and the price increased, so finally it is quite overpriced for what you get 🤷‍♂️. It's tasty, you have a lovely view... but the price to performance ratio is heavily reduced in 2024. Comparing to other tapas bars around you will get simply less for more (money), so it's up to you to decide. (BTW: we have ordered twice the jamon tapas to make sure it was not "single/isolated mistake...) I had a wonderful experience at "la Ria"on Calle Betis,the staff were very helpful I was asking all kinds of questions about the food and directions to flamenco shows and sights to see they were really very kind.The meal my family and I had was really wonderful great tasting and some typical Spanish and some not so typical but really great tasting.Good wine list and a variety of bottle beers.We only wanted a drink but the staff (angie,María and nani the owner) we stayed for almost 2hours and had a great time.Many thanks...
