Burladero Tapas y Tintos — Restaurant in Seville

We arrived as the second guests in the day, all tables where empty. They triple checked our reservation, even though within two hours later barely anyone came. Didn’t think of it much at the time. But with some guests arriving, they clearly ignored us. The staff felt (subtlety ) hostilite, avoided eye contact, literally smacked glasses and the bill on the table and not even letting us finish sentences. The staff was clearly racist and homophobic, since they treated the table of Spanish people next to us with outmost care, while they only had one drink each during two hours. We had a full dinner mind you. The food was okay. Not season but cooked decent. Not bad but also not exciting. If you are Spanish, white European and straight it...

The food was good but I feel there are better places in Seville. The cesar salad was tasty but left hungry after having it as my main. We shared the ham croquettes, they were delicious but a little pricey. The restaurant atmosphere is quite cool with some bullring references (not that I support bullfighting but nice decor) What led me to 3 stars was the service. We were ignored or forgotten, left unattended for a while without drinks (and at the end of July it is hot and important to get one quickly). The lady taking the order struggled with the technology - I would suggest using paper and doing the slow digital step not in front of the customers… and once we ordered no one checked until the very end...

Pretty good tapas, maybe a bit pricey but still good. Just got here from Madrid, pretty good train ride. Got some studying done. Maybe good nap, don’t let my mom know because she didn’t want me to nap on the train. The food was great. Small bites, definitely small but still good. Good quality, felt the Spanish in the food you know. Thought the octopus was alright. Risotto was a little too sweet, had a strange flavor. Cheese was average. Overall decent flavors and food, but portions and prices were a little disappointing. Love Sevilla so far, cool palaces or whatever. My beli gave it 5.6 but I give it more like a 6.1.
