Visiting from Brooklyn. At home, my husband and I usually start our mornings at the coffee shop and read our relax for a couple hours. It is difficult to find a coffee shop in Seville that has seating! We were so happy to find this beautiful, modern, yet cozy coffee shop to spend a nice morning together while on vacation.
The Americano is very nice. We also found the food to be very tasty and a refreshing break from the heavy traditional Spanish cuisine.
Over several days we tried:
The mushroom omelette: cooked nicely, not over cooked. The mushrooms were seasoned well and there's was olive oil on the plate to soak up with the bread. Delicious.
The eggs benedict with salmon: Not a traditional eggs benedict that an American would recognize, but delicious in it's own way. Instead of an English muffin, the egg is served on a soft thick slice of brioche. The egg is soft with some still runny whites - which we enjoy but may not be for everyone. The salmon is tasty. The sauce does not seem like typical hollandaise sauce - there is less lemon flavor than I expect from a hollandaise sauce in the US. This was our favorite dish on the menu, but do not think it will be like an eggs benedict in the United States.
chia bowl: so good and refreshing. Not too sweet, just right!
There is a restroom through the hotel that is clean.
Thank you for taking such...
Read moreThis was my first visit here. This place really looks the part and when I finally received my coffee, it was a well-prepared coffee.
The service, on the other hand, was appalling; the man who served me was more focused on flirting with other customers. He failed to confirm my order or take payment, even though I had my card ready. We acknowledge one of the coffees we ordered takes slightly longer to make, but we waited over 20 minutes for just two coffees. I almost left empty-handed as I wasn't even sure the guy had actually taken my order since he didn't react when I placed my order.
To make matters worse, when the coffee arrived, it was incorrect- he hadn't even listened to my order as he was too distracted by the young lady he was interested in next to me. I have worked in many cafes and understand keeping your regular customers happy is important, but I live round the corner from this coffee shop and could have also become a new regular at this place. Unfortunately, I was treated as if my visit didn't matter. This experience left me feeling...
Read moreI don’t like bad reviews.. but.. I will do it. Coffee quality is fine. About staff.. in general they are not bad.. but.. I understand they are moving, they stand by coffee machine which is hot, they are in kitchen where is also hot. And it’s a reason, why they leave “emergency door” open. And when you ask them to close it, because it is really cold outside, they tell you no, it’s emergency exit, it has to be open. Sorry, it’s a most stupidest answer I have heard. Emergency exit has to be openable from inside, not from outside.. and not opened all the time.. and.. emergency exit has to be marked as emergency exit and it isn’t (so they lie..). they are totally not interested about guests.. they are interested only about themselves.
Not recommended. There are more great and more friendly cafes in Seville.
Edit: When you stand by counter, they have air condition there and it’s nice a warm there.. so it’s only about they are arrogant and selfish. I leave this place with bad feeling. It’s...
