MANDUCARE Cocina Tradicional — Restaurant in Seville

We have been here twice The first time the service was great. The 2nd time the service was very bad. He made no effort and the service was abrupt. We had a drink before we looked at the menue and he asked did we want the bill. He was more interested in talking loudly to the 2 guys behind the bar. We asked for a dessert to share. We had it the last time we were there. We were given ice cream bon bons in a half opened carton. When we said that before we got these on a plate with chocolate sauce and cream between each the barman said the manager doesn't allow them to do that. We said we didn't want the dessert if presented in that way. I have never ever experienced such a disgraceful presentation in a restaurent. Maybe we were unlucky but if that is the way they treat customers it is not acceptable snd I could not recommend it...

We visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions since we were so impressed with it on our first visit. Sadly though, after a couple of occasions, it did slip up slightly, hence the drop in review.

The staff are friendly, the service is usually quite quick and the food is delicious. However there were a couple of occasions when the communication between staff was poor, resulting in our food either being a little delayed or on one occasion, going to the wrong table.

Was the food worth the wait though? Yes, yes it was. We sampled many different things from the menu due to our constant satisfaction with what we tried. The drinks, cheap and flowing, the food, tasty and well portioned, the restaurant, modern and comfortable.

The menu is quite limited, but the quality was very good. The Frito sevillano was very good quality with a mix of calamari, octopus, and pescadilla, fried perfectly with the right amount of salt. The pork fillet (presa) was excellent, though slightly overdone. The cheese and leek pastries with tangy marmalade were tasty, but we all thought the croquettes were lacking flavour. All of the dishes came with the same garnish of fresh greens with peppers which everyone liked. Good service, and decent prices. Recommendable place for typical dishes.
