This place isn’t worth visiting. They lie and try to trick people into thinking they ordered things they didn’t order.
We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter proceeded to ask follow up questions recommending dishes. We talked quickly amongst ourselves to decide and asked the waiter to wait a moment. The waiter walked off before we could answer. The whole conversation was spoken in Spanish.
We proceed to think about what we wanted to order and plates of food start to arrive that we didn’t order. If the wait staff don’t think you speak Spanish they try to rip you off. A local friend had to speak to the waiters to get them to remove the erroneous dishes. The waiter then lied saying they spoke to us in English even though they couldn’t speak English. We attempted to speak to the waiter in Spanish again but they continued to claim they couldn’t understand. They also uttered a token phrase “do you like meat?” claiming they said that phrase in the original conversation. The waiter attempted to stick us with a very large steak that’s priced by weight. This occurrence is also mentioned in other reviews (we weren’t aware of this before going because we were walking by the place and decided to pop in on a whim, having not read any reviews).
This place is not worth the money or hassle. They brought out lasagna that was cold in the center. Other dishes we tried were over cooked and tough. Everything was soured by the initial interaction. The waiter is aware that they tried to rip us off and failed to interact with us throughout the remainder of the meal. All attempts of eye contact were deflected. We only stayed because we ordered a bottle of wine in the first...
Read moreOur experience was that of others, a tourist trap where they try to con you - avoid at all costs. We ordered 3 tapas for lunch, including "patatas a la tres salsas" which cost around €5, but were told this was unavailable. The waiter said he'd recommend something similar - you can imagine our surprise when a very large red meat steak was brought out (see picture). We challenged the waiter on this, but he wouldn't engage. We did not eat the steak. Imagine our surprise when the bill came out and the steak was €43 - yes, you read that correctly, it's not a typo, they wanted €43 for a replacement product for the €5 potato dish. Unlucky for them (but very lucky for us) a very nice Police officer was standing 100m down the street, I went to speak to him, explained the situation, and he was only too happy to come back to the restaurant to assist us with this very obvious and frankly ridiculous attempt at a con job - how lucky were we? You may not be, so please beware. I'd ask corporate not to paste a "sorry for your experience, we'll try better next time", I'd actually recommend you speak to your staff to dissuade them of this practice - this should not happen in this day and age,...
Read moreSTAY AWAY!!!!! Went inside based on the menu pictures posted on the outside poster. Sat for a while before anyone tended to us, despite the fact that the place was empty. Tried to order a couple of the items advertised for about 10 Euro each, just to were told those items were not available - the server said he could fix something similar for us. He brought 3 different items and then he walked out across the restaurant to have a lengthy argument with some guy. The food was barley edible, no flavor and lacking any pleasing taste. Not once he came back and at needing to leave, had to approach someone prepping food behind the counter and asked for our bill; eventually the server ran-in and asked the prepping guy to give us the bill. Expecting a charge about 30 Euros, we were hit with a 55 Euro bill !!! Asked how come it was that much and we were shown the server had given us three items ranging from 15 to 18 Euro each, instead of the two 10 Euro items we had originally asked for. The server said: well, that's your bill and walked out to continue his argument. DO NOT GO TO...
