Visited this restaurant recently and will never go again. The food was average but the attitude of the staff, especially the chef was deplorable. Like many Indians, I like to have some raw onion slices with the food. When I asked the waitress if I could have some, she told me that there would be an extra charge for this. Being shocked, I asked whether there would be an extra charge for salt and pepper. She apologized but said that it was the restaurant’s policy to charge for things like onions. What she brought was a small dish of a few slices of onions, cucumber, and tomatoes. I told her all I wanted was some onions. Again she apologized and said that’s what their policy was. I asked to see the manager and she brought the chef. He told me that they charged for things like onions because many customers abused ‘freebies’. I informed him that having eaten in literally hundreds of restaurants, I had never come across such a ridiculous reason for charging for something like onions. Regardless, what irked me was the attitude. Obviously they have no idea what that sort of attitude can do to a customer enjoyment of the visit to...

Un-respectful and discriminatory behaviour from the restaurant. As an Indian visiting Sevilla, I wanted to try some Indian food, but my experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and upsetting. My friend and I arrived craving Indian food, only to be told that all seats were booked and we had to order takeaway. To add to this, we were told to wait outside in the cold while there were clearly plenty of empty seats inside.

To make matters worse, a couple who came in after us—without a reservation—was allowed a table. This blatant preferential treatment felt like nothing short of discrimination. Being treated this way, especially in an Indian restaurant as an Indian, is utterly unacceptable and deeply hurtful.

The lack of respect and courtesy shown to us ruined what was supposed to be a comforting experience of enjoying food from our culture. Such behaviour is inexcusable, and I would strongly urge others to think twice before visiting this place. Respect for customers should never be compromised—no matter where they’re from or...

The restaurant closing time shows 11:30pm online but the restaurant did not entertain us at 10:30pm and when questioned stated some kitchen excuse which clearly was made up and not at all convincing- the waiter was not apologetic about the situation. We understand it's festival time with less staff, atleast update the same online. Helps people plan accordingly. Extremely disappointing!

Additional details post owner review-

For timings update, you can very well do so on google. Just change the time from 11:30pm to whatever time you are actually functional.

For your kind information, your manager neither informed us on long waiting time nor on takeaway option, he simply said kitchen has some issues and was not functional, which was really weird as he was very casual about that and was not apologetic enough. And the restaurant was 50% full, not 80% when we entered.

Finally, on online booking, you mean your kitchen would have been functional if we did not arrive directly and would have come with a...

I recently dined at Taj Mahal restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The tandoori chicken, which is usually a highlight of Indian cuisine, was a letdown as it wasn't cooked in a clay oven. Additionally, the naan bread was disappointingly thin and crispy, resembling poppadoms more than traditional naan. To add to the disappointment, the table I sat on was so tilting that it resulted in a spill of the initial coke we had poured. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but their attention to small details was lacking. This was quite a contrast to the authentic Indian dining experiences I've had in places like Brick Lane. One bright spot in the evening was a friendly and English-speaking waiter who made the experience somewhat better. However, overall, for a premium restaurant like Taj Mahal, these issues were hard to overlook. It pains me to say that I left without finishing my meal due to these concerns.

Arrogant waitress! Poor quality and quantity. Even the main dish is not for an adult person! Bad taste. I have eaten many Indian and non Indian restaurants in Europe and outside of Europe but not like this. So please don’t even try to teach me about your food portion, taste and your kadai size an all. This is my first time that I experienced such things. All you know how to argue with your customers rather than acknowledge it. Even you’re arguing in the review section! Which is really shocking the way you’re handling customers experience. Hats off to you. I know it’ll hurt your ego after you read my post rather than accepting your flaws and apologies but don’t bother to reply I’m not interested to read. If I lived there I’d file an official complaint against it. Stop mistreating your customers inside the restaurant and also in online platform. It’s clearly a scam and of course a tourist trap.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Taj Mahal Sevilla, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Located at C. Juan Antonio Cavestany, 12, this gem of an Indian restaurant brings authentic flavors to the heart of Seville. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant decor and warm ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, even accommodating special requests with a smile. It’s no surprise this place was named the best Indian restaurant in Spain by Just Eat in 2023 and 2024! The portions were generous, the prices reasonable (around €10–20 per person), and the variety of vegetarian, vegan, and halal options made it accessible for all.
