Patisseria Cafeteria Sabaté — Restaurant in Sitges

Very very rude female server. When I arrived I said ‘hola’ and asked her if I could add two chairs to an outside table as it was the only one free. She said ‘you don't even say hello’ (she must not have heard me). I said sorry and ‘buenos Dias’. She said ‘that’s better’.

My husband thought she said to get the chairs from inside so he did. She came back and, with obvious frustration, told us to move all the chairs over 1-2 feet (not sure why as she didn’t explain why). She then said angrily ‘why did you take chairs from inside’ And made us get up to switch to other chairs (which were all casual chairs that looked the same). She then walked away complaining about us in Spanish to other customers.

She did not return. We went inside to order and someone else brought out coffee and pastries.

This server said they were stressed as they had 2 new staff members and it was hectic as the Palm Sunday parade was just outside. I have empathy but there was no need to be so rude. We may have misunderstood but we were polite and clearly did not mean to upset her.

Una camarera muy grosera. Al llegar, le dije "hola" y le pregunté si podía añadir dos sillas a una mesa de fuera, ya que era la única libre. Me dijo "ni siquiera me saludas" (debió no oírme). Le dije "perdón" y "buenos días". Me dijo "así está mejor".

Mi marido pensó que nos había dicho que cogiéramos las sillas de dentro, así que lo hizo. Volvió y, evidentemente frustrada, nos dijo que moviéramos todas las sillas entre 30 y 60 cm (no sé por qué, ya que no me lo explicó). Luego, enfadada, nos preguntó: «¿Por qué se llevaron las sillas de dentro?». Nos hizo levantarnos para cambiarnos a otras sillas (todas eran sillas informales con aspecto idéntico). Después se marchó quejándose de nosotros en español con otros clientes.

No regresó. Entramos a pedir y alguien más trajo café y pasteles.

Cafeteria/Pasteleria que van desbordados, hay 4-5 mesas fuera y hay clientes los cuales les llevan su pedido a mesa y otros que los tienen delante i tienen que llevar ellos su pedido. He pedido un bocadillo de fuet y me han hecho un “panet” de fuet. Aparte de ser su error la chica joven y un poco “mal educada” despues de pagar 10€ en 2 cafes con leche un croisant y el “panet” la chica mencionada anteriormente quiere que le pague la diferencia cuando el error ha sido suyo. Entiendo que los bares/cafeterias tienen sus clientes habituales pero me parece una falta de educacion ignorar a otros clientes que han llegado antes y que dichos clientes habituales tengan “privilegios” como que a ellos les sirven su pedido en mesa y a los “extraños” no.
