La cocina de Alfredo — Restaurant in Tías

We had the tacos pibil and the enchiladas with pork and a red sauce. Both were extremely tasty. Served with a mild salsa and a smoked chipotle salsa (spicy!). I now live in the UK and while I can find decent tacos, enchiladas are usually made with flour tortillas not corn as they should be and are usually filled with chile con carne - ugh - awful. It was a joy to find delicious, authentic tacos and enchiladas in Tias, Lanzarote! The corn tortillas were perfect. In London, they are often made with white corn and the tacos fall apart easily. Me and my wife visited this place after getting a recommendation from a local in Playa del Carmen, and WOW! This was an amazing evening.

The prices are not steep, they serve incredible Mexican food and got some great hard-hitting tequilas lined up.

We picked the deal where they keep serving you items from the menu, until you beg them to stop. And holy moly, they keep lining up amazing tacos, quesadillas and much much more.

If you want a local, not touristy dining option, serving real wholesome Mexican food, I would recommend this place to everyone! Worth a taxi trip or even renting a car...

Went to the restaurant in Tias. Had the special then got stung when we went to pay the bill by been told it was 30 euros a head. Definitely not worth that. That's after they couldn't find our bill and were asking what we had. Service is very poor. We asked for two beers and they brought out three.
