Doña Lola is a hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience, perfect for a family gathering. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that felt like coming home. This family-run restaurant truly puts its heart and soul into everything it does, from the kitchen to the service.
The menu at Doña Lola is a celebration of flavors, and I decided to indulge in their steak, a choice that I would recommend without hesitation. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender and infused with a smoky char that could only come from a grill with love behind it. Each bite was a mouthwatering experience, complemented by a side of roasted vegetables that added a burst of freshness to the dish. It was evident that the kitchen staff takes great pride in using high-quality ingredients, and it certainly showed through the exceptional flavors.
Service at Doña Lola was equally impressive. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. It's clear that the staff is genuinely invested in making your dining experience memorable, which is a delightful change from the often impersonal service found in larger establishments.
The ambiance of the restaurant added to the charm—cozy yet elegant, adorned with family photos and local artwork that reflected the rich culture and heritage of the area. It created an intimate setting that made our family dinner feel extra special.
Overall, our meal at Doña Lola was a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, excellent service, and an inviting atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy a heartfelt meal with...
Read moreTurned up without a reservation at around 6.30pm on Sunday 16th October. They immediately seated us inside as there was already reserved tables on the terrace, however this wasn’t an issue for us as we could still see the gorgeous view very clearly, being seated inside wasn’t much different from being on the terrace! I fanned myself once with the menu once we had sat down and the waiter noticed and straight away asked if we wanted to be seated under the ceiling fan instead, to which we accepted. The view was amazing as we could see the sea. We ordered the goats cheese starter and prawn cocktail starter. Both were very generous portions, fresh and tasty. We ordered the seafood and fish paella without shell… all I can say is WOW! It was incredible. It was served to us in a big cast iron pan by the waiter, we had one HUGE portion then another portion the same size, easily enough for 4 people, possibly even up to 6. The value for money is amazing, the food was impeccable, the wine was great, the view was beautiful and the servers/waiters were very attentive while also charming and funny. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, we would have come back everyday for a week if we didn’t want to try other places. Thank you Dona Lola for such an incredible experience, we...
Read moreIt’s such a shame as I had previously had a lovely meal in this restaurant with a friend and was looking forward to taking my husband back. After booking 2 days in advance with a friendly waiter we arrived at our booking time. However from the moment we stepped in we were met with disdain and rudeness by a female member of staff with no smile, welcome and hardly any interaction. I have myself worked 10 plus years in hospitality sector and do not complain lightly and have to say I haven’t experienced this time of disdain/poor customer service in any country we have visited. We asked to speak to a manager to complain to rectify the situation without taking to social media but at this point the manageress told us her english wasn’t good …funnily enough she had understood fine up to this point. We ended up eating locally at a very friendly restaurant. Such a shame as we had been looking forward to it but we definitely wouldn’t pay to be treated in such a manner,...
