Why not go to The Bar #Why Not? It's entertaining, friendly and usually not too busy. You need to get in early (about 30 minutes before) if you want a good seat for the bingo or the quiz away from the smokers outside.

The pub quiz is good fun. Got second place twice which is a big bottle of wine. We don't drink wine and even if we did we don't have a bottle opener. However we traded for the third place shots which was very kind from the staff.

No rudeness at all during our four total visits, worst we heard were some team names in the quiz but little kids shouldn't really be out at that time anyway.

Drinks are great, had food there once for lunch. It's of great quality and good price too for what you get. Just be aware the kitchen closes at 4:30pm but the drinks are available until the last person leaves.

Came here several times whilst on holiday last month. The john smiths and the lagers were spot on (as they were when we visited on a previous holiday) so we came back again and wasn't disappointed. The food is absolutely lovely too. My daughter and her friend liked it that much that they kept going back for food and drinks and the bingo at night. I recently stumbled upon a gem of a place that provided the vegan/vegetarian sausages I was searching for - it was the only place I found in the area! The food was scrumptious, however, I do have a slight personal preference for grilled or oven-cooked food as opposed to deep-fried for health reasons.
