The first thing that really strikes you is how fresh and delicious everything is. It's a small little cafe and requires a lot of prep, so things took a bit of time to prepare. But It was worth the extra wait time. The staff are very friendly I think they are a couple and it shows the amount of love that they put into the food. They have a passion for Vietnamese and it really does show in the freshness and quality. Wifey and Hubby started off with the Vietnamese fresh rolls. These are freshly packed prawns and lettuce with mint, wrapped in a rice Paper roll. This takes a bit of time and skill and shows when the plate arrived, we both love this. I must also add at this point we also tried the Jasmine tea. Which was absolutely lovely and so fragrant. Surprisingly there was jasmine rice in the filter, which I'm not sure if it added anything, but certainly was interesting smooth and tasted great. Wifey went for the Spicy Toast while hubby tried the Rice kim-chi poke bowl. Wifey loved the Spicy Toast. And Hubby was very surprised by it as well, I don't quite know how to describe the taste. But trust me when I say if you're not sure what to eat and you have children, they will absolutely love this. And it wasn't too spicy as well. The Rice kim-chi poke bowl was also delicious. Wifey doesn't like sauerkraut. And hubby tried to explain it was more like pickled cabbage, but she did try and thought it tasted nice. She did add that the Irish do cabbage best, boiled in salty water and drenched in butter. Hubby thought it was a bit spicy, but he always was weak sauce when it came to hot stuff. The beef and rice combination was sweet and a little sour, but thoroughly tasty. On our second visit we tried some of the other dishes. The Vietnamese crunchy crepe, the rice burger, and soy garlic chicken wings. These were not to our taste, while delicious we just didn't enjoy them as much as the first time. Not to say they were bad, just Hubby would prefer the poke bowl and the toasts any day. Still happy we tried them. But the best thing about this place is consistency and all of the dishes are as pretty as they taste. You would do well to come here and eat and if you try a couple of dishes I am sure you'll appreciate it as much as we did. Hubby and wifey definitely recommend the poke bowls, The Vietnamese fresh rolls, and the toasts, they were...
Read moreWhat a little gem, amazing food and even better service. Cannot find fault at all with this place. We visited twice within the last week. The Vietnamese dripped iced coffee is special, best iced coffee we have ever had. The prawn Vietnamese fresh rolls were exquisite, paired perfectly with the sweet chilli sauce. The chicken banh mi was a flavour sensation with a lovely contrast of textures. The chicken was so juicy. The spicy pork toast blew us away, such an explosion of flavours. Packed with flavour with a lovely little spicy kick. The sizzling beef was absolutely gorgeous, so many flavours. A perfect breakfast/brunch option.
The 2 members of staff working there were so hospitable and extremely welcoming. The vibe of this place is perfect and you could see how well they worked together. The kitchen was calm and professional with not a very long wait for food at all. If these 2 are the owners they have an absolute diamond of a business here, if they aren't the owners they are an absolute credit to them.
Needless to say we will most...
Read moreWent for a quick lunch and found this place. Service super polite, and had quality simple selection of alc free beer that I wanted. Menu simple, I went for the burger at the end. Price was cheap, around 5,5, but small portion so if you are hungry I'd pick two. But for me for a lunch in the heat the size was perfect and omg the flavors! I didn't know I liked Vietnamese so much but this was so good. Simple, arrived quickly, but tasted absolutely great. It's not a big place so for big companies and dinner it's really more of a street food place for lunch. And nice to have a decent lunch for under 10€ when you're out and about alone and don't want to get something overly expensive for an easy lunch. As an extra plus, they give you a little stamp card so that after a few visits you'll get a free small beer and some appetizer....
