Trattoria Colosseo — Restaurant in Tías

At the time of writing we’ve had a couple of meals at Colosseo, the first with our son and family and the second as a couple. On both occasions the warmth of the welcome, the service and the undoubtable quality of the food was exceptional. Don’t be put off by the low number of reviews which is due to the fact that they’ve only just opened! As a previous reviewer has said “miss it at your peril.” The owners Luca (same name as my grandson and head chef!) and his lovely partner Helen (a Barnsley lass), ably supported by Christine (front of house) and Alex (chef) are doing a great job. We went to this restaurant twice in June, the day before we got married in Lanzarote and 3 days after we were wed. The restaurant is fantastic, the food is amazing and the husband and wife team are two of the loveliest people we have met over there. They really looked after us and they even gave us a free Aperol Spritz when they found out we were Newley Weds, Chef was so funny, " My wife's the boss when l'm not here " ha ha , such a friendly personality and his wife whom I'm really sorry l've forgotten your name, but you were lovely and treated us so well, and your young service staff lad, big smile on his face all the time, we wish you every success with your business but you won't need it, the food and the service speak for itself and we will see you in August,...

Fantastic restaurant, amazing food, lovely staff. Authentic Italian food, all freshly cooked, the focaccia with tomato was the best we’ve ever had! Amazingly good! Salmon pasta, penne with bacon, tomato and vodka sauce and the daily special of chicken and chorizo pasta were all fantastic. Nice wine to have with the meal. We were too full for a dessert!
