I stopped by for a quick lunch and since I am a tourist and didn't really know what to choose I decided to have something I already knew and had many times. Fortunately the waiter/ Barkeeper/probably owner with short gray hair and glasses recommended the daily special which I did not even understand but since he was so friendly I said that I will take his recommendation. After he brought the food I asked in my broken Spanish again for the name of the food. He told me again and went away. A minute later he returned with the name of food written on a piece of paper so I could understand it better. (Chocos con salsa, Cuttlefish in gravy or sauce) Very nice man. Very kind. The food also was excellent. I paid and the wanted to leave when the owner asked if I wanted a "chupito" (a shot of alcohol) I gladly accepted. Very good people here. Muchas gracias

I went back again today . I was very satisfied. The Pescadas con Garbanzos was...

I stumbled onto this place by accident and I am so grateful for it. It was full of Spanish speaking locals which was the first good sign. One of the best tapas I had while traveling all throughout southern Spain (7 cities). The choco croquettes (cuttlefish) were packed with flavor and fried to perfection. You could just tell the seafood was freshly caught and everything was made to order. Nice portion sizes and for cheap. The octopus was amazing, not chewy at all, and cut like a steak. Look at this beauty. Come on! I don’t even know what those little fish are but the guy recommended it and we got the last batch of them that day and it was...

We came to Tarifa on a day trip and looked for a light lunch (tapas). We came in February and it was clear this small town is rather peaceful during winter period as few other restaurants were closed. We knew we found a real gem when we came to a ful restaurant and almost all of their guests were locals. Basic furniture, plastic tablecloth covered with a paper one gave this place home atmosphere. The owner (I guess) didn’t speak english but our basic knowledge of spanish helped us and we ordered fish from daily menu with few other tapas and all in all, we can say that this was one of the best meals we had during our week...
