Giving a star just for the sake of it. This branch of La Tagliatella does not deserve it.
Getting to the point: The basics of a service based industry is to be welcoming to customers and to be able to serve them as best as possible. However, when me and my friend visited this place for lunch, nobody turned up to attend us at first. Next, we took a seat outside (no indication on the tables mentioning that they were reserved) and waited for about 10 minutes. Then, one person who belonged to the restaurant comes out to attend a big family and asks us if we have a reservation, to which we said no. His immediate response to that being, we need this table so can you vacate it.
To top this off they did not even have the courtesy to offer us another table or have some discretion of asking us politely to maybe wait a little bit. The initial welcome was cold, I don't know why it may be because it was after 10.00 in the evening...just. My wife had a pizza and I had the spaghetti Bolognese (I joked to my wife that a comment should be added to the menu that "no animals were harmed in the making of this dish" as although I had the tools for excavation of the said portion the meat factor was sadly lacking). The waitress was extremely busy but we struggled to order a bottle of wine. I didn’t get our waitress name but her service was amazing. This eventually arrived when we had almost finished our meal. I did notice that two managers with hands on hips were watching tables. They weren’t doing a very good job of it because they would have noticed us with menus in hand trying get their attention.
