Restaurante Miracle — Restaurant in Tarragona

One of the best places we've been in Tarragona during 2-week stay. For 23€ you get very good options of menu. And unlike other tourists-oriented places, food is quite well-balanced (not youe typical "piece of meet and bunch of fries), close to healthy home-cooking. Paelia deserves a separate mention. Maybe it's not a michelin-star cooking, but definetly recommend to try it. Especially since they serve it per-person, so if you travel alone or just have different tastes, you don't need to compromise :) They serve food very fast, compared to aome other places. Personel is friendly and, what seems to be rather rare in Tarragona, speak English on a good level, so you won't have troubles with ordering your food :) Oh, yes, and location is 10/10. Unfortunately I didn’t even get a chance to taste their food, since I was figuratively kicked out. I entered the restaurant and asked them if there is gluten or lactose in their paellas. I made an effort and spoke in Spanish, which is not my first language. I spoke to two people, a young guy and an older-looking one. The latter bluntly replied I should go to McDonald’s. Then he started speaking in another language, not English nor Spanish, in what seemed a pretty unfriendly tone, likely to not be understood by me. Which I found kinda funny. The younger member of the staff instead kindly explained what I could eat. The unfriendliness of the first response really shocked me though, and I left. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant in Tarragona. The main issue is that the restaurant does not allow sharing an individual menu between two people. This policy is extremely inconvenient and unreasonable, especially for travelers who may not want to order a full portion each.

What made the experience worse was the attitude of the staff. The waiter was rude and dismissive, and I felt unwelcome from the very beginning. In all my travels, I have never encountered such a refusal of service combined with such unprofessional and impolite behavior.

Tarragona is a beautiful city with wonderful hospitality, but unfortunately this restaurant left a very negative impression. I truly hope the management reconsiders their policy and trains their staff to treat customers with...
