Ciao Italia — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We appreciated that the restaurant welcomed us even though we arrived quite late, but we were surprised to be seated inside when the outdoor area had space. A nice touch was the complimentary bruschetta, which were tasty. We ordered a four cheese pizza and a margherita—both were good. However, we did spot a cockroach near our table, which made us ask to move and made us very uncomfortable. The staff handled it politely, and overall the service was attentive. I rarely leave a negative review but this place was ridiculous. We called to check if they are open, and she asked us to come over, we arrived at 9:15 and they were open till 11pm. She outright refused to let us sit saying now they are full. I asked why she didn’t say we need a reservation if they were busy and she said that’s too bad and despite us walking 30 mins to their place, she didn’t want to accommodate.

I can’t comment on the food, but if you run a restaurant don’t have such unprofessional staff...

Liked it - Coming to this restaurant for a long time now and every time they live up to the expectations. Large portion of food. The salads are better prepared and presented than the ones you get in other restaurants. Two small tips for improvement would be wifi and work on the noise.
