Tinnthai is the quintessential Thai fine dining experience in Torremolinos, of all places... the moment you step foot in this remarkable restaurant, you feel transformed into the charming and magical place that is Thailand! The restaurant is very welcoming and carries the true essence of fine Thai hospitality ... from the moment you are welcomed into this place you can tell that this is not going to be another thai meal in another European city you visit as a tourist! They cook with authentic flavors and we were guided by our server through the menu. We began with four different starters, all homemade and one for one flavor bombs, including the sai oua sausage from Chiang Mai. Then we had the steamed fish with Thai herbs and spices with a vegetable green curry on the side, sticky rice and fried rice. Kudos to the chef behind this master piece 👏 The closing of our meal was as good and as special as the beginning, middle parts of this meal .... a strange street dessert which was soft bread with ice cream, chocolate sauce and peanuts, simply to die for haha. Tinnthai is food for the soul ... it is thai homecooking at its best and an experience you must not skip if you are a thai food lover who happened...

They are very strict about the fact they don’t do take away, not even if you have a sit down meal and want to take something home with you after. It took a long time to get served or even acknowledged, quite abrupt and not accommodating service, not so much as a smile. Was made feel like I was a nuisance from entering to leaving, not welcomed at all. Food was decent, hence the second star.

Edit: Was lectured about the above review by the manager at my table and then again when I went to pay, in a very passive aggressive and rude manner. He made a scene in front of the entire restaurant. It was completely uncalled for, and both humiliating and degrading. He said I ‘provoked him’ by posting it, so his emotional reaction was my fault, and he expected the review from ‘my kind of people’? Which only reaffirmed my above review on the customer experience for everyone to plainly see. I was told I wasn’t allowed to pay for my meal in compensation for the bad service as is their policy, even though I insisted several times I would really prefer to do so, as it was only fair as I ate the meal and it wasn’t bad food, however I was rudely told to go and so gladly left, and certainly won’t...

Our visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. When the owner came to take our order, my husband was on a phone call, so I politely asked if we could order a bit later. The owner clearly didn’t take it well—he put down his notepad and pen in a frustrated way and walked off.

When we were ready to order, he seemed impatient and uninterested, especially when we tried to ask a few questions about the drinks. I ordered a pink drink that I didn’t like at all, and told the waiter, who took it away without any issue. But when the bill came, we were still charged for it. I asked why, and the owner got visibly annoyed, made a comment in the background, and told me I was testing his patience.

Rather than argue, I paid for the drink, but I left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. The owner was rude and unprofessional throughout the experience. I would not recommend this place based on the poor attitude and lack of basic...
