Mercado Gourmet — Restaurant in Torremolinos

We came to dine on our first night in Torremolinos as we have visited before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worst with the restaurant. Not sure if it has changed hands or the management team have been replaced but on this visit both the food and service were well below expectations! Having been travelling we were hungry and ordered a beer while we had a look at the menu. We asked for a small pincho to accompany the beers but were told that the restaurant doesn't do pinchos! Not even a small bowl of Olives or some bread! The service was incredibly slow and unfriendly and we had to ask for basics several times before they were brought to the table. The quality of the food was not nearly as good as it has been on previous visits. We both had the Presa which was undercooked yet still dry and tasteless! Mixed in with the pork was also a rogue piece of beef! We went to have dinner at this place. A young waiter directed us to a free table after which the another waiter (maybe supervisor ?) came to take our order and soon brought 2 NOT free breads we didn’t even order but we had to pay the breads. I ordered a pizza and that was tasty and my husband ordered a beef tenderloin as a medium, the side dish option was not asked by the waiter. The food was not served to us at the same time, first came the pizza and after a while the beef tenderloin with the french fries. The meat was almost unsalted and too raw. The waiter (supervisor) asked somewhere in between if the food was ok, but did not stay to listen to the answer. We think there is no reason to be rude even if he is in a hurry. We do not...

hemos visitado este sitio por ser nativos del pueblo y por la gran pasión que me une la gastronomía siempre contenta por la ubicación céntrica de mi pueblo,comida servicio y el gran descubrimiento de un vino rondeño pero por mi trabajo en la hostelería ya sabéis el poco tiempo de disfrutarlo solo en esta fecha que para mi genial porque vivimos en el orígen del paraíso Hoy mi dia de descanso con mil cosas que hacer en casa papeleo y colegio del niño, quise aprovechar la tarde noche para un gran relax y capricho de ir a visitaros tomar una copita de vino y como os dije mi gran descubrimiento una copa🍷de los frontales' vino rondeño ' .. serian las 21:45 cuando en la terraza había montadas tres mesa dobles y y cuatro sencillas las cuales ocupada una de cuatro una de tres una de dos y una de uno mi observación se debe a mi pasión x la hostelería una peculiar forma de estar pendiente a todo lo bien hecho y al gusto que me da que los negocios y sobre todo de mi pueblo triunfen. bueno en conclusión ; el camarero que amablemente se dirigió a mi pregunta; van a cenar? no solo vamos a tomar un 🍷 vino

dude y me quede un poco parada y acepté pero en segundo pense,,,,,, como una terraza casi vacía con mesas sin ocupar

un momento señora se puede sentar Ally una terraza con 6 mesas vacía aceptamos y nos sentamos

con ganas de tomar el vino nos dice que solo se sirven botellas lo cual le contestó que no es la primera vez que vamos y me dice que seria en verano cambiamos por dos cañas de cerveza y plato de jamon nos toma nota y la reacción del Camarero cuando llegó a la mesa que tienen ustedes de presentación vio el famoso vino abierto lo cual se, dio cuenta, de haber metido la pata y nos ofreció el vino y se disculpó es mas asta nos invito a una copa...... lo que quería es poner que porfavor cuiden su trabajo es una pena que se pierdan sitios tan acogedores y con calidad y sobre todo en mi pueblo volveré gracias a que equivocarse es de sabio no porque me...
