As a Chilean, whenever I’m around Spain, I always look for a place to try the food I grew up with, and this half-Chilean, half-Spanish restaurant was a great find. We visited twice, and overall it was a really good experience with just a couple of quirks. On our first visit, there was a small delay in opening, and the staff seemed a bit tense at first. The empanadas—both pino and seafood—were absolutely delicious, though my spareribs were a bit too fatty.
On the second visit, the experience improved a lot—especially with the owner present. The service was warmer and more attentive. We had another round of those fantastic empanadas, and both the pastel de choclo and the entrecôte were absolutely delicious. We also had a lemon pie for dessert, which was extremely tasty.
The only small downside was that the Pisco Sour was a bit watery and could use some improvement. It was also a bit confusing because while the menu highlighted Chilean dishes, a waiter mentioned it wasn’t strictly a Chilean restaurant. Overall, though, the food is highly recommended. With just a bit more consistency in service and that Pisco Sour tweak, it could be...
Read moreThe restaurant is in a prime location and the premises are really good! The food is decent and accordingly priced. The only problem that let this place down is the service or at least one of the waiters. I am not sure whether it was the heat, the day of week, maybe he didn't sleep well the night before but the service he provided was literally a disaster. We were three of ours and we were in a very good mood and very keen to like this place but this guy made everything right to ruin our experience. We had to ask the questions twice or three times to get an answer (and we speak Spanish fluently). He showed disappointment when we asked him to describe one of the plates of the day that by the way he didn't know what they were and majority of the time he didn't answer our questions. Literally: a disaster!!! Lack of professionalism. A mommy would have appeared more lively ! Shame...
