Pizzería Palermo — Restaurant in Torrevieja

I was so excited to visit the restaurant as I had seen all the reviews. However I have never been so disappointed before....

I ordered a pizza and thought I would get something that looked similar to the ones they have at the counter. But instead I got a tiny pizza that had no taste whatsoever. The tomatoe sauce (you can see at the picture to the bottom right) tasted like passata (canned tomatoes) that you could buy at a supermarket.

When I told one of the workers that I thought my pizza would have been similar to the slices that they have at the counter, I got a cold reply that those are...

The local itself looks super nice, at the front you have the feeling of the Italian "Pizza a'll tallo" where you can get pizzas per slice.

The small pizzas are quite small, but good nonetheless, and not expensive, so you get great value

But now they have the family pizzas, and these are superb! They are a bit more expensive, but oh so worth it, they seems to come directly from the stone oven, with a super...

Not the best pizza experience I had here. It looks like a typical Italian restaurant, but it is not your typical Italian pizza what you get here.

The taste is not rich and quite boring, we took several pizzas and I had the same feeling with all of them.

I suppose that if you come to Spain, you better stick to the typical Spanish dishes, that is what they are good...
