Advisory - be very careful when you order drinks at this establishment - we (4) visited last night and ordered drinks - 2 gin and tonics and 2 vodka and cokes , as we watched the ocean and the crowds , the waitress poured our drinks whilst we were not paying attention, she served the drinks .we drank them and ordered a second round of the same but mentioned the brands ( Smirnoff and Larios) which received and enjoyed . We requested the check , which amounted to more than €74 , for 2 rounds of 4 drinks . We disputed the bill , as we had not ordered the most expensive brands, but he became rude and threatened to call the police. We then insisted that he did so and have lodged a formal complaint. The amount of the bill was not the point of the dispute , it was the principle that unsuspecting tourists were deliberately being deceived by being given excessively expensive drinks and then being loudly shamed by a rude floor manager . The local police and Guardia Civil were extremely helpful and the local police spent a great deal of time to help us lodge a formal complaint against the deceitful practices the bar employ with customers. Sorry for the very long post but , please be very careful of this bar , check the prices of everything before you decide to purchase anything. Places like this reflect very badly upon the rest of the very reputable, reasonable and friendly establishments along the beautiful seafront of Torrevieja, a place we have enjoyed visiting for many years. TLDR avoid unless you wish to...
Read moreWell went there second time and second time extremely bad impression. Simply never again, why I should destroy my evening because of bad service in this bar? We sit on the promenade and the waiter who arrived, decided that we do not want to eat so we need to get lost from the table outside because it is only reserved for the people who will eat. At this moment we decided to not eat there(obviously the service really knew better) it was 21:45 but the free tables was only for the people who will eat there. So we asked if there is a place where we can sit and drink guiness - he answered - inside (one more time 21:45 and easily to find free table) so we went inside, ofcourse he saw us, other guys from service saw us too …. After several minutes of waiting for initial the order, we decided to go somewhere else. I really am disappointed. I do not want to go there again and I will not go there again, there are other irish pubs in torrevieja. I really want to warn the others before destroying theirs trip to find a restaurant for some meal or drinks. Go better...
Read morePurportedly an Irish Pub. They don’t know the difference between chips and crisps. One dish we ordered (combo St Jeremy) said with crisps. The crisps were not with the dish. When asked, the waitress said they were not included. I showed her on the menu and she began to argue. Finally, she brought some chips (fries) but she kept telling me that in Spain when it says with crisps it doesn’t really mean that… It only means the dish is crispy. We also ordered a sandwich with tenderloin and foie gras… It came with tenderloin and brie. Another dish sent back to get corrected. The food was mostly taste less although not terrible. Had it not been for the barbecue sauce and ketchup there would not have been any flavor on any of the items on the combo plate. The best thing we can say is the Paulaner beer was perfect. There are many places on the promenade with better food and a great ambience to...
