Don't stay here in the year 2019! ||There's a major construction site directly opposite that I'd say makes the appartment simply uninhabitable. And that may be true even next year.||That's the reason for one (rather zero) points.||||Otherwise we may have given 2, perhaps even 3 points:||The location is good.||The appartment size is adaequate.||Staff in the nearby office at Plaza Merced is friendly and helpful.||||Yet there is a very poor maintanance level. Partly I attribute that to the lack of a supervisor in this company, it all is run by temprorary staff engaged with the day to day necessities.||So, we faced:||Worn out matress to start with.||A wardrobe, that's never properly been aired, in other words, it stinks. Same as the whole place, never been properly aired. And as the bathroom is adjacent to the sleeping room, yet the ventilation is broken, it's been so humid that we sweated the first night despite it being cold. (Only after WE aired the place the hole next day it's been okayish.)||More broken things, like a broken cupboard handle in the bathroom, and a broken towel hanger, so no place to put your towel. A shower that does not properly drain. It says: "You'd better be quick or you'll flood the place", and that's not meant eco-friendly.||Kitchen with a pot without lid and one with the wrong size lid. Frying pan the size for dwarfs. Only one tiny towel. No cloth to clean anything, no broom or such. The cutting board "hidden" (clearly by staff) in the least likely place, even below a table cloth. ||No containers or anything to keep stuff in, like butter or cheese. ||A much smaller working space than in the pics, completely taken by a useless microwave of the 20th Century ...||On top of it all: Zero basic supplies like no salt, no oil, no spices, no sugar, just absolutely nothing. (And I don't buy any hygiene-argument: in Germany in an officially rented house you have all this and more.) This kitchen very clearly says: "you may open your winebottle here, but don't make any other mess." ||And this in a city with the most amazing fresh fish I've ever seen, in a country with cheese varieties that make your mouth and eyes water, just around the corner in the central market or even in any supermarket!||||Know this:||"Living Valencia" is a company that rents out appartments in different places.||This here is about Carrer de Rumbau number 1, Appartment number 12 to be precise.||Inside this building they have more than one place, the whole building is rented out by them as well as by other shark-companies. I'd be surprised if the other places were in any better shape though, if so than rather coincidentally. And the construction site remains.||As Living Valencia advertises only for a top-floor and a ground floor appartment, yet we stayed in second floor, I believe the whole thing te be quite illegal to top things of. And this wasn't the cheapest offer! ||Find...
Read moreThis is the worst customer service we have ever had, the company offered no support when the following happened during our one week stay ||It was very hot in the mid 30s and when we used the air conditioner water poured down the walls and soaked the sofa so we couldn't use it and we're so hot we couldn't sleep||The shower wouldn't drain and so we had to take very short showers or the floor would flood||The fridge got very hot and froze up so badly the freezer door wouldn't shut and we had to defrost on our first night||The washing machine was fitted so as you couldnt get any washing products into the drawer because it didn't open far enough.||And if all that wasn't enough there was a bad storm and the ceiling had water pour in which left a huge ugly stain.||We reported everything straight away, in person at the office, by what's app, phone call and email at different times and every time they said they would send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. I have put all this in an email to them since we have left asking for a refund and have not heard a thing. ||Also there is a cleaning fee of 50 euro that was not mentioned on Booking.com and before we came I queried this and it was over a week later and just before our arrival that they eventually got back to me. After the first night when we flooded from above I asked for a refund of the cleaning fee for the inconvenience of having someone work on the apartment while we were there. But of course no one ever came.||||We spent our holiday mopping, floors, not being able to keep cool or clean properly and contacting the company for help. Their properties look nice but if they need repair you might as well forget it because they don't care about their...
