Café Bolsería — Restaurant in Valencia

ORGANIZED CRIME PLACE! It was my first night in Valencia and I was alone for this night waiting my company to arrive. Just stumbled a nearby place around midnight (maybe 80 meters from my Airbnb). I entered the place which was like a bar-club, drank 2-3 beers even though they were expensive, and after meeting 3 Bulgarian ladies, after first asking price of tequila which was told me as 5€, I have ordered 4 tequilas. After the shots I asked the barmaid to pay with card(I paid with cash for the beers before) and she showed me a machine with 20€, when I took my card on hand from my pocket, it was same or another machine with 50 EUROS! Of course I rejected to pay and I gave her 20€ in cash. The club was closing and the barmaid blinked the little bodyguard and he didn't let me out!!! Yes I was now the PRISONER!! I asked to call police they told me to call by myself. After I tried call and the little bodyguard who I could have beaten really easily even twisted my arm heavily(I still have some pain there). I didn't resist because in that case I would have been guilty. Finally the police have arrived, and kept a report, after I left the prison-bar-club and went home with my injured shoulder. At least I didn't let these cheap desperate robbers take 1€ more from me.. Long story short, never go to this place, if you go this place by mistake never let them rob you and don't hesitate to call the police.. I hope those criminals who hurt people, steal their time and money, will soon be prosecuted and...

We are living here a long time, unfortunately nice place, with definetely highest prices in Valencia, after visiting more than 200 bars and clubs in Valencia, not only me, but all locals what I am friend.

Umbracle, Mia beach club and all Rusafa and Ciutat Vella clubs are at least 30% cheaper and at least 70% better quality of drinks.

Also cocktails and mixers are with too low alcohol content, almost none at most cases, so it is better to ask to they separate alcohol and drink and mix by yourself, for the same price.

Sewage smell issue lasts long time, many years.

We gave many chances in different years and periods to this place, but still, unfortunately, not any improvements at all. Hoping soon I can give at least 4 stars, but losing hope.

(Not sure how can have those non-loyal concurency prices and low quality drinks allowed by Spanish and Valencian inspection and Agencia Tributaria.. 😉 but for sure this is not allowed by any law and rule) I am talking only about after 23:00h time.

For example: Most cheapest room Negrita-6.90eur bottle in all supermarkets is served in Bolseria with refreshment for 12 eur per cup. Alsl Zacapa rum, 23yo, is the same price in all other bars, and bottle is 60eur in supermarkets. And Negrita in other bars is around 3.5...

Disgusting behaviour by the waitress towards us, she had no manner regarding how to behave in front of children or families, her behaviour was discriminatory. I went out to see her manager but it seems that there's no manager at this horrible place. Hatred or discrimination against customers can face legal repercussion. I will chase this case further. I don't know why the owner let this type of behaviour to take place. At the end one of staff that seemed a nice person came to our table and apologise d for the behaviour of her colleague but the horrible girl didn't apologise. I want to make sure no other family suffer from a rude and discriminatory approach.the girl didn't give us the food menu at all, her facial expression was awful, she was rude and as soon as she brought the drinks, she asked us to pay,as she wants us to leave, she didn't give a receipt and left and we had to ask her...
