Casa di Roma — Restaurant in Valencia

Maybe we should've eaten pizza and/or pasta.... The food we orderd was in a way pathetic. My plate was the one on the image I attached. It was breaded meat with eggplants and parmesan with pasta and tomato sauce. The pasta was not bad neither was the eggplant and cheese, but the 'meat' well that did not seem like meat. It was supposed to be breaded pork, but it rather tasted and looked like meat you would get from your highschool's kitchen and can't tell if it's chicken or pork. The other two, plates: a steak and spicy curry. The steak was the size of a woman's palm and it was served with salad and cooked veggies 😭 and 1 Jack potato. The plate rather looked like veggies with meat rather than a steak. The curry was good but it was also served bad: the cucumber slices were around 2/3cm wide. Like, what? Casa di Roma Balearic Islands was a very nice surprise. This was our first visit, and we will return. Only a short walk from the Palau de Musica, where we were seeing a concert that started at 7:30 pm, we wanted to eat dinner before the show, and there are so few nice places open early in the area! Our server was so friendly, and food was excellent - my husband had the fettuccini primavera, and I had the ensalada napoli - both portions were so generous we took half home for lunch the next day! Ok I admit, the pasta and gnocchi were really delicious 👍 And the portions were huge. The beef carpaccio was alright but was missing some taste. Had a lot of cheese though and even bread sticks.

The interior of the restaurant was pretty basic though.

Service was partially great ( the man that served us was very professional and friendly) we ordered an appetizer and then main dishes.

The man saw that we haven’t finished the appetizer and took our pasta back so it won’t get cold. But then some girl waitress was confused and brought it back.
