Me, my wife and my 4yo went to Valencia for 5 days during the Fallas which is one of the most overcrowded and busy event in all of Spain. We obviously visited a lot of places for dinner and lunch but when it comes to the staff none of the places has been a challenge for El Kiosko's staff: they are all friendly, professional and try as hard as they can to make your stay the best possible. I'm not joking when I say, for example, they've been the only ones (ONLY ONES) who spoke English and Italian while ALL of the other places' staff (not only restaurant but shops too) struggled with the communication because they didn't even have a single person who tried to speak another language other than Spanish... The place is clean, cozy and so nice to see with some sort of industrial and "natural" style mashup. If you cross the street you'll find yourself in the City of Science and Arts (where the Oceanographic, Science Museum, Hemispheric and Art Museum are). The menu is composed of traditional plates AND modern ones too with some foreign dishes too (like the gyozas). All in all the meals are really good: we tried six or seven different meals and they...
Read moreDiarrhea, vomiting 🤮 and fever, food poisoning! I can't find an introduction better than this to describe the nightmare that receive after having a nice lunch in this restaurant, or at least was nice! I experience a food poisoning due to the bad 😞 food the restaurant treats and managing in the storages. Although the food was delicious, we believe it was very bad conserved and treated because all of the friends that have eaten in this restaurant after a day got diarrhea vomiting! This is unbelievable. The suggestion to this restaurant to improve is to please, follow the sanitary procedure in the kitchen and make sure the fish 🐟 is not in contact with meet when is raw, and meet not with salad etc, conserve the fish in the fridge 4 degrees and not defrosted faster, leave at least 24 in the fridge to defrost before serve to people. We think of taking legal action about what happened because this is...
Read moreIf you have just finished visiting CACiencias and are looking for a diner other than those fast food booths, I would love to recommend El Kiosko to you. I dropped by it randomly after I visited the Ninot Exposition and it was no regret. I picked the menu del día, with two plates, one dessert and one beverage for €12.9. The cesar salad is quite simple but tasty, with only lettuce, cheese, chicken and bread in it. Nothing more. The second plate is Tartar de Atùn which I strongly recommend!!! So delicious!!! Please have a try! The restaurant is quite spacious with lots of seats both indoor and outdoor. But I only saw two ladies serving table, dealing with food orders and checks. Extremely busy. Maybe they should hire more staff for...
