Popped in here on the off chance of a quick bite to eat with the family.

Stunned.

The menu was €11 per person with starter, main and dessert, so we weren't really sure what we were in for as the restaurant has beautiful decor and the images of the food on the menu (electronic as is pretty standard in Valencia), looked awesome, but for three courses for €11, how good could it be????

Needless to say, we were delighted. The chicken teriyaki and the tuna poke were excellent, and the rigatoni with truffle sauce was fantastic. In fact, everything was.

All in all, we couldn't believe how good the food was for the price. Plus the staff was friendly, the turnaround was really fast and the vibe was great. Top marks to to the big waiter who mesmerised the kids by walking out with eight (8!!!) plates on one arm. Legend.

If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the mains were potentially a tiny bit small, however we all left the restaurant with a perfectly full stomach. So I can't really complain at all.

Well worth the visit if you're around the Museo de las Ciencias and looking for a brilliant, quick and utterly delicious...

Our experience was disappointing. We arrived -- on time -- at Saona Alameda and were immediately told that our reservation was for 1.5 hours (which we understood). Then, our server, the manager, and other helpers at our table rushed us through the entire meal (as if we were dining in the US). Less than 1 hour later, after we had finished our meal, were enjoying coffee, and were enjoying conversation, the server came to our table and essentially told us that our meal was over and that we needed to leave. How rude. When we told the server that we had the table reserved for 1.5 hours, he responded that, in reality, the restaurant had decided that our reservation for now for 1.25 hours. When I responded that we had been at the table less than 1 hours, the server responded that "they needed the table." Ridiculous. I looked around the restaurant, and 7 tables were unoccupied. This conduct is preposterous. The food was very good, but I will NEVER --- and I mean never --- return to this restaurant. The experience was soured by the staff and management. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a diverse range of dishes and each one was prepared to perfection with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The standout dish for me was the salmon tartar. The service was top-notch, with our server being knowledgeable about the menu and providing great recommendations.
