THE WORST service by far! I have been to many restaurants around the world, but this one stands out like none else with atrociously bad treatment of clients, and the first one to make me leave with tears in my eyes, and the only restaurant in Europe I allow myself to write bad review. I was visiting alone (because of my own choice), but I was made to feel that customers like me, that visit solo, are just not welcome there. I am not even referencing the fact that one cannot order paella for less than two (I actually was fine ordering and paying for two), but the waitress did everything possible to show me that I should not and cannot order it alone. I am not a picky client, so I easily went with some of her recommendations, which turned out to be just mediocre tapas. My casual ask for silverware was meet with even more hostility, and I was told that I can eat with my hands. I probably should've walked at that point, but I kept my cool and stayed. Big mistake as the service got even worse as I tried to ask for some water, but my attempts were completely ignored. I walked out for few minutes to just clear up the tears from shock and insult, but somehow managed to go back, finish and pay my bill. I am speechless, and the only thing I can say is that places like this put a bad rap to a great city like Valencia. Food that I had...
Read moreTasquita Del Mar is a small neighborhood gem tucked a few streets away from Plaça de Reina, and definitely worth the stop.
There aren't a ton of tables at this spot, inside or out, and I'd highly recommend making a reservation (as you should for any good place in Spain!)
If it wasn't clear, outside seating is where it's at. Grab a table and you must order the meatballs with egg. It is divine. Comes with bread to sop up that delectable sauce and egg yolk. The chef is Argentinian, so try the empanadas. And for those that love coffee and have a sweet tooth, this was one of the few places I found that served bombon - espresso with condensed milk.

☀️a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff is attentive and friendly, making sure that every guest feels comfortable and well taken care of.
The waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect wine to pair with our meal.
But the highlight of our meal was definitely the gazpacho. It was simple yet absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of flavors. The freshness of the vegetables was evident in every spoonful, and it was the perfect dish to cool down on a hot summer day.
Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Valencia. The location, atmosphere, and food are great,
can't wait to come...
